3-0 out of 5 stars Was not that impressed
When I read the reviews and viewed the feature-list of Freehand MX, I was hesitant to upgrade from 10.0.1 to MX. However since I lauded the 10.x interface, and the new product shared the interface of the MX family, I did the upgrade. I know this is a touchy subject for some as they either love the new MX interface or they hate it. Some new features like contour gradients, 3D extrusions, live effects were a good bonus. Basically doing anything in Freehand MX took much less time than previous versions or competing products. My main problem was exporting these images. PNG export was terrible, creating artifacts over the image where I used live effects. I tried importing into Fireworks MX and Flash MX, but the results were unimpressive. It took me a while to figure out that this upgrade added two executables in the Freehand MX folder to upgrade Fireworks MX and Flash MX for handle Freehand MX files. The problem with that, is that a complex image created in Freehand using the new live effects or contour fills is not converted into blends for proper rendering by Fireworks, rather contours are replaced by radials, and the whole colour scale of the gradients seem shifted. If they tell you there is full compatibility among with Macromedia Studio MX product family now, they've lied to you. Macromedia's Freehand MX message board is a good place to read about the new features and bugs in MX to figure out if this upgrade is right for you. If your image lives and dies within MX, and you don't need to export it to another application, it's wonderful -- and for 99.99% of us that is not the case. Don't throw away your old CDs yet. Freehand is improving, but it is far from perfect. Try again Macromedia!

UPDATE (13/09/03), Macromedia has listened to the cries of their customers and released a free updater of Freehand MX, now (11.0.1), aka Freehand MX2004. This updater solves MANY of the problems originally identified with Freehand MX. It should be noted that support for MacOS9 and Windows NT and Me have been dropped from this updated version. The trial version available online is still the buggy original MX version, and the boxed versions will include the buggy version for unsuspecting NT, Me and OS9 users who want to use Freehand MX. The update will be available online for registered customers and as a part of Studio MX 2004. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

The latest release of Macromedia's Fireworks, version 3, offers more features than ever to facilitate good Web site design and better integration with other design tools.

For designers who like to experiment with impunity, Fireworks 3 now has a history panel. Similar to a multiple "undo" command, this window lists all actions performed on a file during a session. Unique to Macromedia's implementation of this function is the ability to select and save groups of commands in this panel as a macro and apply that to other objects.

Projects can now be previewed directly in the workspace, eliminating the need to export work to a Web browser. This includes previewing animation and rollover graphics and various optimization settings to see how a file will look with different amounts of compression.

Integration with Firework's sister application, Dreamweaver, has been improved. For example, objects with Fireworks behaviors are now recognized in Dreamweaver as Dreamweaver behaviors. Imported Photoshop files now retain their layer effects, as well as retaining editable text layers. Also, Fireworks can now export vector graphics in Illustrator, Freehand, or Flash formats, eliminating the need to create the artwork twice.

While Fireworks is not the only application for creating Web graphics, it is one of the most well supported and comprehensive--a good choice for any Web site designer. --Mike Caputo ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Web graphics, here I come!
I'm a happy man now. Ever since I got into the web dev business I cursed the hours I sat infront of my computer, trying to figure out how to shade or mask the simplest text in Photoshop. I used to waste precious hours over the simplest things instead of concentrating on the actual programming. One starry night I found myself snooping around for some easier way to handle professional graphics (a paradox? you betcha!), I came accross the demo version of Fireworks 1.0 (it was a long time ago)... it was love at first sight. Imagine a programs so easy to use that I was able to produce some very professionaly looking graphics in matter of minutes, and perform some of the more complex and time consuming tasks (slicing, image maps, HTML exports etc) in the shortest time. Version 3.0 adds more features at no cost of ease of use, more plug-ins and more preset design samples. I'm never installing Photoshop again!

5-0 out of 5 stars If you only by one program for web graphics, this is it!
Fireworks has turned out to be my best friend when it comes to any kind of web-based graphics manipulation. It is absolutely the quickest and easiest for producing photos and thumbnails.

Recently we've been putting large numbers of photos online for our members use-- I mean "hundreds". With Fireworks "batch processing" function, it takes just a few steps to manipulate the dimensions, the quality, etc. for the entire group. That means, in a few minutes you can produce 100 digital photos adjusting the resolution for easy viewing and downloads as well as instantly create thumbnails.

Fireworks also has good photo editing capabilities. I come to Fireworks from using Adobe and Corel graphic applications and have come to love this one.

This is definitely a program that should be a mainstay in your library.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply The BEST!
This product is simply the best graphics creation software for web development i have ever used. I used to use Photoshop/Imageready, but i don't even touch these products anymore. The rastar/vector capabilities leave it really non restrictive. Definite BUY!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE web graphics tool
If you want to do your own web graphics, this is the tool for you.

I didn't know ANYTHING about making my own graphics when I startied using this wonderful tool. I just wanted to be able to make some graphics for my website.

This tool makes it easy for anyone to make their own professional looking graphics. It is easy to use (easier than Adobe Photoshop). Especially if you have used other Macromedia tools before. It offers lots of control over things like fill patterns, stroke patters etc.

There is also a must for any web developer. It has a wonderful Export Wizard. This allows you to export the large .png file that Fireworks makes, into smaller .gif, or .jpg formats. What it does is allows you to see up to four different versions of the graphic each with its own settings. You can adjust the number of colors and file type to make the file smaller and easier to load over hte internet.

This is a wonderful program especially when used in conjunction with Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Even if you aren't a graphic artist, orr if you are just a webdeveloper looking to make your own graphics, this is a great tool!

4-0 out of 5 stars Simpler than Photoshop, and more useful!
Fireworks is a fantastic web graphics tool, built from the ground up to produce all those little mouseovers, animations, etc. that need to go on a page. It's image editing tools are more useful to a web developer than say Photoshop (because it's targetted specifically for the web developer), and it carries some very good image compacting/optimising tools. Mouseovers are particularly simple - and Fireworks will not only make this easy, it will insert the working code back in your web development program to make the mouseover work. Similar thing goes with clickable images - just slice up the image however you like in Fireworks and when you export it, Fireworks will write ALL the supporting TABLE code to lay it out and make it clickable. It's a nice touch!

Probably the only annoying thing about Fireworks is that it insists on storing it images internally in PNG format - to get GIFs or JPGs, you have to Export, not Save. However, because this maintains image quality far better than a JPG, you'll be glad it does this eventually.

All in all, Fireworks let you concentrate on the picture, not the details - it takes care of all the "little things". I think it's the best you can get on the market these days - and although it is steeply priced, it far better value in the Dreamweaver 3/Fireworks 3 bundle. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Secret Goodness!
WebObjects is a framework for deploying database-driven webpages and services. While it does not have the same exposure as ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, etc etc, it is a very strong competitor. I came to it from a PHP and MySQL background, and while it took a couple of weeks to get to grips with the WebObjects outlook, it is now a total joy to work with.

The main thing about WebObjects that seperates it from the rest is the fact that it is an object-oriented system. Once you have the objects set up, you very rarely have to interact with the database at all, as the framework deals with all of the sql calls. Indeed, because of this fact, the database itself is totally removed from the logic, and so a vast range of databases can be used interchangeably: MySQL, OpenBase, Oracle, and any JDBC database. And relational databases are even easier, suprisingly enough, especially when compared to how difficult relationships are to follow with PHP.

Everyone working with any high-traffic databse-driven website should at the least check this out. I did, and now I'm a total convert. There is a free 30-day trial available at the apple website.

5-0 out of 5 stars What Apple Doesn't Tell You.
One of WebObjects best kept secrets is the EOModeler. The EOModeler allows you to design a database, create entity relationships [including foreign keys], encapsulate business logic in WO rules and stored procedures, and then generate/update your database from the model. All of this is done from within an Apple quality GUI, and it explicity supports OpenBase, Oracle, MSSQL Server, MySQL and Sybase [but it should work with any JDBC driver or JNDI driver].

Furthermore, you can then automatically generate an entire Java client application from this model. AND, you can reverse engineer a model and application from an existing database.

Outside of that, the Apple review tells you what you need to know [aside from the fact that the WebObjects server supports load balancing and remote application server access]. This is a fantastic product. Believe the hype! ... Read more

Dreamweaver UltraDev is an enhanced version of Macromedia'sleading Web-authoring tool. The standout additional feature is dynamiccontent, which is when pages have live links to databases or othertypes of server-side scripting. Most products of this type requireextensive manual coding, but UltraDev has an extensive library ofbuilt-in scripts, called Server Behaviors, that allow even moderatelysophisticated sites to be built with little or no code. Version 4 lookssimilar to its predecessor, but includes important changes that make itmore complete and easier to use.

One of the best new features is the split code and design view, whichlets you edit either the code or the visual design and see changesinstantly echoed between them. There is also built-in security, so youcan create login procedures and password-protected sites. Finally, theLive Objects wizards automatically create page elements to handlecommon tasks, such as a master/detail page set, or forms to insert andupdate records.

UltraDev supports three kinds of server-side scripting: Active ServerPages, JavaServer Pages, and Cold Fusion. Unfortunately, it does notsupport PHP, which is popular on Linux and Unix servers, althoughbecause UltraDev is extensible, there may be some third-party add-ins.The features for the three models are similar but not identical, although in every case there is excellent database support. Its greatstrength is that you can focus on designing your pages and let UltraDevhandle the data access code. You can even display live data at designtime, making it easier to get exactly the right appearance.

Everything in Dreamweaver is also in UltraDev, so this is the idealpackage for Web authors who need to add dynamic content with a minimumof fuss.

About Fireworks 4:

Fireworks is a dedicated Web graphics application. You can create bothvector and bit-map images, optimize them for Web pages, and addnumerous special effects for export direct to HTML.

The starting point is a familiar range of drawing and painting tools, such as shapes, lines, brushes, pens, and selection tools. In thedefault vector mode they create editable, scalable objects, and inbit-map mode they paint pixels. Fireworks supports layers andmasks--virtual overlaid surfaces that you can edit independently, enablingdesigners to achieve a wide range of effects. For example, you can varyopacity and blending to fine-tune the final appearance. Other Fireworkspanels include color, stroke, fill, and effects. There is also alibrary panel where you can store graphic elements for reuse.

A key feature for Web designers is optimization. Fireworks offersmaximum control over the critical tradeoff between quality and size. Atwo-up and four-up view lets you compare the quality of original andoptimized versions, using techniques such as reducing color depth andremoving unused colors. The software offers strong support for GIF,JPEG, and PNG image formats. Fireworks also lets you create animationthat is exported as an animated GIF. It will also generate JavaScriptto produce image rollovers and, in this new version, pop-up menus. There is great support for hotspots and slices, techniques for mappingor dividing an image to support HTML features. Integration withMacromedia's Dreamweaver 4 is better than ever in version 4 ofFireworks. Dreamweaver UltraDev 4/Fireworks Studio combines the twoproducts at a lower price. You can export to Dreamweaver--or launchFireworks directly from Dreamweaver--edit an image, and save it backwith all Fireworks-specific information preserved. --TimAnderson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply THE best web dev combination
DreamWeaver Rocks. Fireworks Rocks. Together they make for a spectacular web design/development combination.

Dreamweaver is packed with features for the beginner through advanced web developer; it's easy and intuitive to use. It may take you a while to learn all the capabilities, but with each successive feature you discover and master, the development process becomes easier and faster.

Fireworks is the best in class web graphics software. It integrates very well with DreamWeaver. Creating animated GIFs is a snap, as is image optimization (file compression), image map creation, and exploring full tables (HTML and all!) for use in DreamWeaver.

You simply cannot go wrong with this package. Photoshop still has its place, but if you focus exclusively on the web and don't need to do exquisite image editing this bundle is all you need.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Awesome
I've been doing web development since 1996 and, to be honest, I fought tooth and nail against giving up Windows Notepad as my web development tool of choice. Microsoft FrontPage really ruined web development software for me and I pretty much vowed to avoid such applications in the future. Fortunately, my boss insisted that I use Dreamweaver and even sent me off to classes to learn the nuts and bolts. And now I'm hooked.

Dreamweaver is simply awesome and I can't imagine ever going back. Whether your a novice or professional, you'll come to love Dreamweaver's simple interface and ability to tackle otherwise tedious tasks -- such as Cascading Style Sheets, tables, layers -- with ease. Adding Flash, Shockwave or Java is as simple as it can possibly be. I took classes on Dreamweaver, but only because my boss insisted. The software is pretty easy to learn, though those with web development experience will have a fuller understanding (and respect) for the capabilities of the product.

The single most powerful part of Dreamweaver is the use of templates, which allow you to use the same look and feel across multiple pages and have all those pages updated when you make changes to the template. This alone will save you hours!

Another great thing about Dreamweaver is that creates clean HTML. This is something that any developer who has ever had to edit the HTML directly will respect -- especially if you've ever tried to make sense of FrontPage HTML nonsense.

Finally, the FTP application in Dreamweaver is outstanding. It keeps track of every page, graphic, link, etc. in your site and any change to any of them is cascaded through the entire site -- automatically updating links where necessary. With a simple click of a button your site is uploaded to your webserver.

There are so many features I haven't covered, but with the little I have this product is worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stupidly Discontinued!
Get Macromedia Dreamweaver 4. They have turned this once great web design package into a hybrid cross of something that looks like Netscape/Flash and called it Dreamweaver MX 2004.

I used Dreamweaver MX 2004 for a month, uninstalled it and went back to Dreamweaver 4. It really is that terrible and the work space is terribly cluttered making it very hard to work within.

Bottom Line -- Get Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 instead if you can find it. Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 is a very good web design package that knocks Dreamweaver MX 2004 for ten. You will simply hate Dreamweaver MX 2004 when you install it on your system. I nearly barfed after a month of using that *new* completely hostile and non-user friendly piece of unstable and slow excuse for a web design software program.

Get this instead ... if you can find it...

5-0 out of 5 stars Review for Dreamweaver 5
-This review is for Dreamweaver 5- I absolutely love this software. I had Adobe Go Live but I never seemed to take to it like I did with Dreamweaver. Once it was installed within a day, I had made several webpages. As I continued to use it I learned more and more intuitively without needing much guidance from the manual. As a user you can create your webpages visually or in code mode, this makes it a great option for anyone no matter what your skill - it can be adjusted to suit your needs. You can learn and develop your webpage skills as much or as little as you like. You do not need to be intimidated by it's high price. You can learn it and the cost is well worth the output. ...
I don't have to look for anything else, I have hit paydirt with this program! If you are using Front Page or any other visual interface for ease, you know that you are trapped into a forced format, get this program and you will understand the freedom of control without fear!

WebRazor Pro 2 is actually a bundle of four applications, eacha handy tool for a busy Web designer. Each application within WebRazorPro has something to offer the contemporary Web designer, and if two ofthem fill an empty niche in your toolbox, the suite is a good value.

SmartSaver Pro 2 is a utility for opening graphics files and optimizingthem for use on the Web, specifying compression ratio, color palette, format, etc. It can export to GIF, PNG, and JPG formats, and it canhandle batch conversions. Our favorite aspect of this feature: it canbe used as a stand-alone application or as an export plug-in forPhotoshop. Smartsaver Pro can import just about any graphics fileformat available and does a good job compressing and indexinggraphics.

GIF Animator 4 imports graphical images and can layer and save them asanimated GIFs, giving the animator full control over timing of frames, movement, and sequence. Additionally, users can enter text in theprogram, as well as transitions and special effects. Too bad the GIFfile format doesn't support sound; GIF Animator would make a handylittle video editor.

Photo Explorer catalogs and manages all those graphics files. Basicallya browsing and disk maintenance tool, Photo Explorer can scan aselected directory for any graphics file it is capable of displaying(which is almost everything) and show a thumbnail of it. We found thisto work very well and very fast, even on folders containing largeimages. Photo Explorer can also export an HTML file containing a tableof thumbnail images, with links to the original file. This featurealone is a major time-saver, and worth the price of admission.

Lastly, there is Cool 3D 2.5, Ulead's 3-D graphics and animation toolfor creating 3-D text. Cool 3D, while not the most feature-laden of 3-Dapplications, is fast, easy to use, and produces very clean output. Itfeatures an enormous amount of presets for textures, lighting, andanimation and can even create some particle effects, such as burningletters. Words and shapes can be distorted, twisted, glowed, burned, and otherwise manipulated in 3-D space, and results appear very quicklywithin the real-time preview window. --Mike Caputo ... Read more

Adobe enters the arena of Web animation tools with LiveMotion 1.0, atool that's used to create vector-based animation for Web delivery. Many of theanimation-specific features are based on Adobe's After Effects, long a dominantplayer in the field of motion graphics and animation. If you've used AfterEffects, you'll feel comfortable immediately with LiveMotion.

In many ways, LiveMotion is a better tool for creating vector-based animationthan Macromedia's Flash, its very popular competitor. Using a timeline/keyframemetaphor, LiveMotion makes it easy to animate the properties of an object overtime. Position, scale, opacity, and rotation all can be controlled with relativeease. It's also painless to create HTML elements, such as animated rollovers formenus and graphics.

However, if you come from a Flash background, you might be a bit disappointedwith LiveMotion. For starters, there are no scripting features. Also,LiveMotion's compression isn't quite as good as that of Flash. In a test inwhich the same animation was exported from both Flash and LiveMotion, the .swffile that was created by LiveMotion was about 15 percent larger. Because filesize and download rates are so critical to Web-based graphic design, it'simportant to be aware of this type of issue.

Despite these shortcomings, we found it easier to draw and animate by usingLiveMotion. Superior (in both form and function) Bezier drawing tools make it asnap to set up ready-to-animate graphics. Again, Adobe has kept LiveMotion's"feel" in the family by ensuring that the drawing functions are very similar tothose of Illustrator.

If you're looking to create high-quality, interactive Web content, Flash mightbe the way to go, especially if you're more familiar with Macromedia's look andfeel. However, if animation--and not interactivity--is the goal, and you haveexperience with Adobe's other products, LiveMotion should be a good fit. All inall, this is a very good first release. --Mike Caputo--This text refers tothe Mac version of thissoftware. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars LiveMotion Not So Great
Adobe LiveMotion, is a very capable product. Using LiveMotion you will be able to create animations and movies. That is, if you can figure out how to use LiveMotion. I purchased my copy as part of the Web Collection, installed it for a while, and then uninstalled it. I was unable to figure out how to be productive with it. For animated GIF files, I already have a great program, JASC Animation Shop (Included with Paint Shop Pro). This application is able to do everything I need it to, in a manner that I can understand. For movies, I prefer Flash 5 which can export in a number of different file formats (including QuickTime and EXE). I am no graphic artist, nor professional, and maybe these people can figure this program out. I am however, a staunch supporter of Adobe applications and very productive with all of them except LiveMotion. Adobe is releasing a new version 2.0, maybe that version will be more useful, but I am not going to try out. For the money, go out a get yourself a more user friendly and easier application.

2-0 out of 5 stars Livemotion is no FLASH, it's just a slower Imagestyler.
Livemotion was created from the ImageStyler product of Adobe. I am Imagestyler user and was impressed by its functionality and ease of use. Imagestyler 1.0 is a great product especially for web designers who would like pixel-point accuracy and flexible layouting tool.

But it has some limitations though which I expected to have been addressed into Livemotion. Instead Adobe put animation features into Livemotion to rival that of Flash.

When I evaluated Livemotion, these are what I found out: 1. Livemotion could not rival Flash in terms of animation and it will probably take 2 or more releases before it can be at par with Flash. 2. Livemotion is no better than Imagestyler instead its even slower.

So what Adobe did is they dropped the Imagestyler which is a good product on its own and now they try to compete with Flash with Livemotion but its is no contest. So Adobe, please give us Imagestyler 2.0.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Animation - Can't Export to any AVI files
The money you pay is just not worth it. I'am not able to export it to my video editing programs. Great in creating effects for your Web Site - but with the money you pay I just think that Adobe should've allowed to export into other media.

Not worth it - unless you only intend to export to Web Pages...

2-0 out of 5 stars I hate to burst the bubble...
...but LiveMotion is not the god send. Even as a loyal Adobe user, I cannot recommend this tool. Let me start with its benefits first, and then I'll end with its problems.

Two major/revolutionary benefits: First and foremost, Adobe's familiar and designer friendly user interface. Intuitive, easy, and fast. Second, and what makes it completely outstanding, the tools bitmap compression technology is unparalleled. Just experimenting with the extents of its abilities, I output a 54MB QuickTime to an image sequence. Import the sequence into LiveMotion, tweaked, and output a SWF at around 350KB!

The unforgiveable! Web sites are interactive. Without interactivity and content a site is simply gallery fodder, eye candy. LiveMotion's behaviors are infuriating. The program is definitely not without its bugs. Any projects that are beyond simple playground animations chokes and dies. LiveMotion begins falling apart at the seems with SWFs approaching 250-300KB in size.

From the words(/implications) of Adobe's rep, Joe Bowden, wait until the products update release (in the works) which will address all the grouping and nested grouping issues (that are inherent to the programs interactivity). If you can't wait, reign in your projects and look for a work around.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use. You'll be up and running in no time!
Create great web animations and movies quickly and easily. I'm fairly new to web animation and vector graphics. I own both both Flash 4 and LiveMotion. LiveMotion is my choice.

The benefits of LiveMotion (besides being user friendly) is that it automatically inserts key frames for you (unlike Flash), and it will auto-tween them. Additionally, LiveMotion gives you the option of saving graphics, animations and rollover "styles" in the library so you can easily use them again in future projects simply by applying them. LiveMotion exports your designs as .swf files (just like Flash) so it is compatible with the plugins already being used in browsers.

After a few months and many books, I'm still trying to figure out the more complex Flash. Not the case with LiveMotion. It is much easier to use and the learning curve isn't nearly as steep as it is for Flash. Sure, Flash's authoring program may offer a few more functions to hard-core developers, but I still choose LiveMotion.

If you're looking for an easy, user-friendly way to create great looking movies (and want to spend your time actually designing the movie instead of reading books on how to figure out the program), get LiveMotion. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Here's a little no-nonsense advice for those of you who are consideringDreamweaver 4 as your future Webeditor: don't skimp; buy this bundle. The seamless integration of Dreamweaver 4with the nicely upgraded graphics application Fireworks 4 justifies theinvestment in this complete suite.

Macromedia's Dreamweaver 4 packs layer upon layer of powerful features, for justabout any Web developer's needs and preferences. Perfect for individuals andprofessional Web-development teams alike, this latest version offers a fresh setof upgrades and improvements. Programmers who build sites by using only a basictext editor are rewarded with features for source-code inspection. Code View'stext-editing environment offers such customizable features as live syntaxcoloring, tag balancing, and auto indenting. Noncoding types can click and dragsites together by using one of the finer visual editors available. Within thoselayers of features, there are resources for creating forms, Flash files, frames, cascading style sheets, Java and ActiveX files, and more. In Split View, theCode and Design views display simultaneously--providing the best of both worldsfor ambidextrous types.

The quickest and easiest way to design graphics in the Dreamweaver world is viaFireworks 4. Fireworks' strengths lie in its focus on the creation andoptimization of bitmapped and vector Web graphics. The files are integrated intoMacromedia Flash and Dreamweaver easily, and importing/exporting Adobe Photoshopand Illustrator files is a breeze; especially with the program's improved layermask handling, and a new Color Fill Live effect. Version 4 rolls out a newinterface that Flash, Dreamweaver, and FreeHand users will recognize. Thisstandardized format also offers tabbed menus for easy customization, and helpskeep the screen tidy. New tools for adding interactive elements--rollovers,navigation bars, and pop-up menus--are a welcome sight. And a Live Animationfeature creates frame-based GIF animations, using symbols, instances, andtweening features that are familiar to Flash users. With built-in HTML andJavaScript capabilities, version 4 delivers the goods to the Web graphics designcommunity.

Convinced? If not, you can always buy Dreamweaver 4 at full retail, and thenfollow-up with a Fireworks 4 purchase, weeks or months later. Just don't blameus for the lingering red mark from your forehead slap. --Eric Twelker--Thisreview refers to the Windowsversion. ...

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the bunch
I use NetStudio 2000 (upgrade). I've been conducting web-design tutorials for three years now and so far NetStudio is the BEST web graphics creation tool I've ever come across! It takes about an hour to learn and beats the learning-curve of Photoshop or anything else; it's not as complicated and has the convenience of step-by-step wizards. Nothing quite like it out there. I also use NetStudio when I do presentations for clients (I'm a freelance designer also), because you can create a website (in front of the client!) in a few minutes. As teacher and user, I recommend!!! And by the way... NetStudio has a very literate support staff (meaning, they talk in full sentences). That's something new in this industry.

5-0 out of 5 stars NetStudio: the Future of Online Graphics
One of the biggest challenges of anyone attempting to create online web graphics --whether professional web designers or amateurs-- is to find the right graphics program. The goal is to find a program that combines ease of use and professional looking graphics. This is why I fell in love with NetStudio. First, I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from people seeing my webpage; second, I love the versatality with which each graphic can be created: i.e. you can start with a pre designed graphic that allows you to play around with it so that you can end up with your own, individual image. Other pluses: you can design anything from hover buttons to transparent gifs, three-dimensional headers, just to name a few. If you want to get a better idea, visit their website. They have a great online tutorial. But remember yo come back to Amazon.con to buy it : the price is better here... ... Read more
