Does NOT work with Windows XP
I'm a computer programmer so I know what I'm talking about. I found a site w/drivers that would indeed install in Windows XP. I installed the drivers and plugged it in. XP did a great job of recognizing the tablet as a Human Interface Device but that's where my success ended. This tablet doesn't in any application, not even Windows XP!

Unless you're using an outdated 98 or ME machine, stay far away from this product!

Great Tablet - For The Price!
This drawing tablet works just fine for my needs and the price was ideal at just under $100. However, the most important concern isn't necessarily price or quality as it is finding the right SOFTWARE for your task. The included sw is geared more toward children, so I had to look elsewhere for my web-oriented needs - and I found that it works fine with Macromedia's software - not bad at all for under $$$$!

Nice Entry Level Tablet for Art Students and Kids
I bought this tablet for my girlfriend when she was in design school. She's quite an artist and it worked great for her -- a hundred times better than using a mouse to draw.

It was easy to set up on Win98 -- you simply have to follow directions and install the software BEFORE plugging in the tablet with the USB (or serial) cable. The included Photoshop LE software is excellent (you can save $$$ if you want the full version). Also, the tablet works with Win XP but the driver is not Microsoft certified. I guess it may be erratic on some systems depending on the configuration. But if you have a USB Mac, I don't think you'll have any trouble.

Although the company that made it is out of business, this tablet works great for the price. You won't find a better option for students on a budget or kids on the old PC.

Professional artists and designers will definitely want to go Wacom.

Unlike other people, I didn't run into problems installing it...however, I couldn't get the pressure sensitivity to work, so in a graphics program (Paint Shop Pro 7) I couldn't get it to vary the line thickness, density &c (and yes, I did check the settings in PSP).

Also, the ergonomics of the pen are horrible: Both the button and the tip feel wobbly, like it's cheaply made, and I had to press quite hard to click the button. This is what i get for not reading reviews before buying (from eBay -- no wonder the darn thing was so cheap).

Can you say virus
my friend and I both purchased the Pablo Internet Edition from kbgear and the software has a virus called w95.cih.remnants that infects all .exe files and the virus is considered rare to get. and now of course we cannot get in touch with kbgear, none of the 800 #'s work, nor does the internet address, so until someone rectifies my problem, i would not recommend this product to anyone!!!!! i must say that if i wasn't having this problem and all was working well i would probably give it a great rating, but how will i ever know. ...
