It's a great tool
I've noticed a few others haven't liked this program. All I have to say is that I found it to be a usefull tool. I was completely blocked when I started looking for a job after three years. I had only a really old resume (somthing that was great for entry level..but not for someone who's been in the work force for awhile). This software allows you to keep your job search organized. I love the fact that you can customize each resume and letter. Heck I used this program to write my cover letters, thank you letters and my letter of resignation.

It won't do the work for you and like anything you get what you put into it. But I found this one to be a keeper and I reccomend it to anyone who's having a little problem getting started on your job seach...HAPPY HUNTING! Oh and I started my new job on Monday at a nice pay raise... ... Read more

Poor Program
The program is not user friendly at all. The logs to track body fat %, muscle mass, etc. are not included in the program as advertised. The Encore support site appologizes for the glitch in the logs but offers no reslotuion to the problem. I reccomend staying away from this program!

At least it's a nice box!
It seems that Encore spent more time and money on package design than on R&D. First, the software is focused almost entirely on health club workouts (Smith machine and cable exercises) and much too light on dumbell/barbell exercises that would make sense for somebody working out at home...near a computer! This only makes sense if you're working on paper, in which case you don't need a computer, just a log. This is the most glaringly stupid aspect of this software, but there's more. Secondly, after the user has gone through the very tedious process of creating a routine (not user friendly at all), the routine's exercises list out in alphabetical order instead of being organized by day in the workout cycle and from major to minor muscle groups. Ridiculous. Finally, the resultant printout isn't anything you could easily use at a health club unless you export the info into an Excel spreadsheet or Word table and reorganize and format it.However, it would be a shame if they don't look at this as a beta version and make appropriate improvements. Anybody else remember Personal Trainer with Shane Minor? That was a much better program when it was first released, but it wasn't further developed. ... Read more

Tracy is Tops!
Brian Tracy is the epitomy of welath building and this publication takes the cake. Tracy simplifies money making and wealth building. The only thing missing is a more step-by-step approach such as is MILLIONAIRE 101. I highly recommend this book but only if you are going to read it and follow Tracy's plan. How to become a self-made Millionaire
I was extremely upset when I misplaced my "original" copy of this cd-rom and repurchased this product, because of its inherent value.

I thoroughly enjoyed this product, because there are many things to look at and search through. There is a library of "books" that you can go to and read profound concepts which are very important and useful. "Books" on confidence, persuasion, charsima, and more help you learn concepts that can be asymilated into your personality and help you on the road of life as well as business. This program is meant for anyone seeking an edge in life and yet seems to also cater to beginners of the self-improvement field.

Brian Tracy always manages to blow you away with a plethora of knowledge and wisdom that will keep you on point in your game. If you have a computer, then you owe it yourself to invest the small amount to check it out! (I paid the FULL retail price when it was first released; It was worth it then and still is!). Get your copy now to begin refining your life like a laser beam.

I am a big fan of Brian Tracy. Our company sells all his tape'sand video products. This one is an absolute no no. You would be betterbuying, Getting Rich in America, or Brian Tracy's Success Mastery Academy, if you want real information. This is a glossed product, with very little content.You will learn more content from Larry Winget's book, Money is Easy, Think & Grow Rich Napoleon Hill, The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles or Born Rich by Bob Proctor. The only people who will become millionaires from this abissmal product are the publishers and Brian Tracy.

Serious Fun
As with the book series, the subject matter of this video game is treated with complete seriousness. What makes the game fun is imagining yourself in situations in which you are not likely to ever find yourself. For example, how many people have to be worried about being attacked by lions or being tied up by a kidnapper? But, hey, it's good to be prepared.

In a full game, 1 to 3 players are asked a series of 10 trivia questions on such subjects as natural disasters, reptiles, insects, survival, etc. (For example, "How can you identify a black widow spider?" or "Why should you be concerned if you receive a package with too much postage?"). Unlike You Don't Know Jack, the "host" of the show only has a few all-purpose phrases during these questions ("This question is worth...", "The correct answer was..."), which is too bad.

At the end of these trivia questions, every player who has a positive score gets to play the challenge round. Each player is asked a series of 7 questions based upon different scenarios such as what to do if you are on a runaway train. Each question is accompanied by a series of graphics, and whether or not you get the correct answer, you are then shown a new graphic explaining the answer. This aspect of the game makes it more successful at teaching survival techniques than the books since you get graphics and clear explanations for everything, but only after you forced to try to think your way through the problem logically yourself.

The only real problem with the game is that some questions are very poorly phrased. I cannot recall at this moment a specific example I encountered, but to make up a question illustrating the problem, the game might ask "At what temperature are you likely to get heat stroke?" (or ditto re frostbite) followed by a list of temperatures. Of course, the most correct answer given that wording would obviously be the hottest temperature listed (or the coldest). But it never is! Instead, what they actually mean to ask is "At what temperature does heat stroke (frost bite) FIRST become a common risk?" which is a completely different question. Also, sometimes the questions and answers are quite wordy and it doesn't give you enough time to read anything, let alone think through your answer. However, these problems aren't large enough or detract from enjoyment of the game enough to effect my overall rating of the game. One other thing which is merely annoying is the fact that the opening and closing animated sequences with the "host" are always the same (and unentertaining), but you can just skip past them. ... This CD has about 15 minutes of video explaining some basic principles--that was useful. Plus it has demonstrations of movements taken from Yang-style and Chen-style forms. Worst program and support ever encountered !
I purchased this program and have had nothing but problems from the start. It installs, loads and opens fine but thats where it ends. The program is dead slow in operation. Changing the format of a Resume can take up to three minutes to happen. Just opening the dialog button to make a change, any change is drastically slow. You are much better off using word. After e-mailing their Technical Support staff I can see why the product does not work. They are all totally ignorant of their own product and how to fix any problems. You would have better luck clicking your heels together and "wishing" it were fixed. The company policy states a full refund from the manufacturer if not completely satisfied, FORGET IT. Upon asking for a refund after many attempts to get help, I was told that they would only exchange the product for another. What a Crock. I have since purchased another product that works just fine. It is Nova's Win Way Resume and it is just great. If you need a Resume software program go with them and stay away, far away from anything that Individual Software produces, they are a rip off.

Stick with Word. This product is a loser!
This program is an exercise in frustration. Once you get past installation problems and run time errors, there is not much to be rewarded with. The format is awkward and difficult to understand. After spending the time to make the resume look just as you'd like it, you find that it will only look that way if you print it from ResumeMaker. Forget about sending it by email. Nobody out there has ResumeMaker to open your file with and converting the resume to a common file type mangles the look you spent so much time to create. Despite the informative content, this program lacks a lot. The Resume Caster and Job Finder take too much time for the poor results they produce and there is a lack of example resumes for common professions. For the quality you get, this program should be shareware. Anything over $10 for this product is too much. And it's a good thing Individual Software's tech support is toll-free because their knowledge and service leave much to be desired.

Better than nothing but not by much.
The program does not allow you to easily reuse previously entered data. Most of the time I would like to reuse the entered data for different resume types. But the program does not allow you to choose to use previoulsy entered data and makes you enter it again each time. So you must enter your employment history over and over.

The program asks for the same information over and over. Each time you change the resume format it ask for you employment history and education. This information is usually the same. The program should give you the option of reuse of previously entered information. Other users also mentioned a version 7.3. Yet when I called customer support and asked where to get the upgrade they either had no idea or said the program would automatically update during registration. Well the program does not self upgrade and the current 7.0 version has problems.

Not ready for prime time
After reading the reviews on this website I purchased Resume Maker 7.0 and installed the program on a Windows2K computer. The installation of the program is the only thing that has not given me problems. Though the program has many excellant features, getting them to work properly has been an exercise in patience. Even after getting the upgrades to V7.3 the program still constantly crashes or changes the spacing/formatting of the document I am working on. Text is dropped out of description cards with out me knowing it, spaces and/or lines are inserted at the end of description cards for no reason, and I could go on. This software has the potential to be a great program, but in my opinion it is not quite ready for prime time. ... Read more
