There should be a software LAW for BUYERS
This is a bundle of junk. Unless I installed it wrong (and my husband and I are not computer/software idiots) there is no user interface. I couldn't even find the free subscription for a year to clipart.com. What a bundle of crap. Buyer beware, the only good side of this is that it was only $30. But I could have bought my children some Amazon.com books with that $30. By the way, I have Windows XP. And what really sucks is that I had to give it one star. It deserves a ZERO RATING.

Not good for Mac users
This is a terrible collection. Bought it and couldn't actually get to the images. I am a Photoshop user and have some experience with image manipulation etc. and am a long time Mac user. Contacted technical support via e-mail and they told me they couldn't help me. This collection was created by a PC person and adapted to Mac. Don't buy it. Save your money and buy a good Mac collection. Returned Clip Art 2.5 Million and only got back 15 of the dollars that it cost me in the first place.

Very misleading product description
Although this package is very affordable, I now know why. First off, a portion of the 2.5 million is only accessible online...for a year. Then, as I explore the various files, I find some objects are presented repeatedly, just in different colors. Wow! So, what you get is three CDs with no manual or clip art book to browse. Get what you pay for!
If you get what you pay for, this should have been [very inexpensive] This software is NOT for making professional looking business cards. It's a toy for your kids to play with. 95% of the graphics are cartoons (poor at that)! I was very dissappointed after purchasing this product. So bad, I'll have to buy another one.

The best solution I've found
As unskilled user of computer graphics, I needed to find a program that was especially user-friendly and easy to navigate, with a low level of frustration for the unfamiliar user. This product was the most useful of the three I found, including The Business Card Factory, and Proventure Business Cards. The instructions are simple and, with some practice, easy to navigate in creating both business cards and brochures, although I did not attempt any newsletters.

It doesn't really matter how many typefaces, colors or graphics are offered, if the user can't navigate the program, and I found this program the most quickly familiar. The pre-made color layouts may be bright, but not always the best designs, in my opinion, and color should be minimized when cost is a factor. Any document prepared for commercial printing increases in expense with each color added, and the novice may be unfamiliar with this problem. That issue aside, my main concern was a simple format wherein I could create a brochure and business card using one color. So I went to blank stock and blank design, using the appropriate tools to add and edit text in the desired format. I found the brochure particularly easy, even when designing a 2-sided document for commercial printing.

I have years of design experience pre-computer, and the challenge for me (as self-taught) was to get the program to reflect my design concept in the appropriate language to create the necessary documents. After exploring some other programs, it became clear that any program is mediated by the vision of the programmer. If the program designer has a limited design range, or is restricted by the functions the program allows, the user cannot override those commands without some basic knowledge of programming. It's like taking the long road around, rather that the quickest line between two points. The programmer is assuming that the user has no design experience, and that's what the program offers: simple solutions...My need was immediate. This program offered the best timely solution, with little frustration for the unskilled user. Great program for making cards

Best I've Ever Used
This is great software at a great price. I've used American Greetings CreataCard and Hallmark Card Studio, but this one has them beat. The versatility, selection and total creative control this program gives you puts it in a class by itself. Many will find it hard to use because it does offer such variety and control of all aspects of card creation. With limited choices and "canned" card designs, CreataCard and Card Studio are easier to use. But if you really want to be able to create all sorts of cards, labels, stationary, etc from scratch or be able to modify to the last detail the designs that are available, this program is for you. It truly is an explosion and endless arangement of graphics and fonts, as well as your own digital photos.

User friendly
This is the best ever greeting card program! I have used Hallmark and American Greetings greeting card programs and there is no comparison.

Awesome graphics!
I loved this program enough to purchase their Christian Greeting Card Factory and just ordered Greeting Card Factory 2. The only problem I had with this particular program (and I own many others: Print Shop 10, Print Master 12, CreataCard 7 Gold, Am.Greetings Sprititual Expressions 6) is for some unknown reason, I had to use print preview or parts of the card would be missing (mostly the bottom and one side border). The graphics are so good, it was worth the extra bother. To the person needing help, their online technical services are wonderful and fast. And FREE as opposed to sitting on the phone forever and for $$. Happy Printing!

Fun and Easy to Use!
This is an easy-to-use greeting card software program. You can customize the set of pre-made cards simply by right-clicking on the card: a menu will appear and with a simple click, you can customize the card. There are a number of cool fonts, too. The graphics, especially the fine art grouping, are excellent. The only complaint is that the clip art is not customizable and some of the colors of the clip art are just plain ugly. Not exactly what I thought it would be
Calander wasn't easy to use.

Calendars yes, easy no
This program offers calendar making with a multitude of options, maybe too many options. I have owned several versions of this program and each upgrade allow more and more customization of calendars. The problem comes trying to remember all the things you can do. What saves the program is the basic templates for calendars are very good and answer most needs. What I especially enjoyed was being able to add re-occurring events like birthdays and anniversaries so as to be reminded of them with icons to individualize events. Decent Art Clips, Bad Service
Getting this software installed was a bear. Reluctant to pay more for phone support than I paid for the software itself, I elected to work through the problems using Broderbund's e-mail support. Most of the suggestions I received from Broderbund's technicians didn't address my stated concerns. In fact, I'm suspicious the technicians weren't even reading my messages but were sending me "standard troubleshooting suggestion #1" followed by "standard troubleshooting suggestion #2," etc. As such, it took nearly a week to receive the suggestion that actually solved my problem. If you don't mind feeling like a chump and wasting about 3.5 hours in total, the program delivers a lot of good clickart for the money.

Click Art 50,000
I just spent hours trying to load the 2 CDs for this product. I was unable to get anything to work. I sought help from the technical support staff at the major university where I work, and they could not get anything to work either, even after uninstalling the program. We continued to get the error message "install CD", even when it could be heard whizzing in the CPU. I also found that you can choose only one font at a time from the "font CD", which you must run live everytime you want to use a font. I tried the get help from the manufacturer (Broderbund) on their website. They had a few canned troubleshooting suggestions that don't apply. I had registered the program 3 times by this point, but the website would not recognize my username and password. The bottom line - don't waste your time and money on this impossible program.

I received no support when I needed it
I bought this software recently and tried to install it on my Windows Xp Pro in Portuguese. The installation went ok, however when trying to run the ClickArt50,000 for the first time I received an error indicating the program could not create some directories inside my home directory. I contacted Broderbund's support and reported the issue. Their official answer after two emails was: "We do not support installing ClickArt® 50,000 on a Spanish release of Windows. It is supported on English Windows only." I checked my product package and their web site and could not find any references saying the program will not run on Windows versions other than English. The bottom line is that the program will not run, the shop where I bought it from will not accept a return and I lost my money. So, be aware of "hidden"/"convenient" minimum tech requirements. Their support will not stand by what they advertise.

MacFonts 2
I am an amateur to the world of mac /computers in general, so with that being said... I have chosen, "Mac Fonts 2" for my first review!!! I found the installation to be a little confusing and very time consuming. I was hoping to be able to install all fonts at once, instead of clicking on each individual font. The good news however, is that the" Mac Fonts 2" has 1000 fonts to choose from and a great variety for whatever the occasion may be. The quick reference guide provided with this software indicates thatboth true type,and open type fonts are available; the open type format is designed to work cross platform on macs and pc's, however, you must have compatible software. What a scam! Think you're getting 950,000 images in the box? I did. But think again. You have to suffer through endless downloads to get more than the handful of images they give you in the box. Not good!
This product sounds great when you hear what it is! But, if you have any computer smarts, you could do this on your own! If you have access to Power Point, you don't need this program! You can create your own! There is a VERY limited selection of cards and when creating labels, there are only a few choices for the different Avery label sizes. The ONLY good thing is the program already has the card and label sizes formatted for you! If I knew what this program was to begin with, I would have NEVER purchased it!

THIS PRODUCT IS THE WORST!
This product is the worst. Changing text is a NIGHTMARE! How could Hallmark let their good name be associated with such a badly designed program. It is only Ok if you want a card exactly as formatted. We previously had an older American Greetings program that was great. My 9 year old could write birthday cards; thank you notes; etc. with no help from me. We changed or designed every card, it was easy. Now we have a new computer with XP and no adequate software options.

Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 3
This product is not worth the money I spent on it. It allows you very little access to creativity. Basically you print what's there the only nice feature of this entire program is the event minder to remind you of upcoming events. That's about it.

A little disapointed
I use Card Studio 2 more than 3. I expect when I get an upgrade that it will have all the old stuff with NEW stuff added. I found some of my favorites had been deleted on 3 plus when I added a picture from my scanner or camera that it came in distorted on the new version. I do find Hallmark Card Studio as a whole, very user friendly and I love the cards. I do allot of cutting and pasting and cropping to make different cards. I do not like the regular graphics (very simplistic and harsh for the most part) that come with it so I just use the ones off the cards. It would be nice if they would add a program to work with pictures that you import in. I often make cards that have graphics from several different programs, and I use this as my home base.

Good, but looking for better
I wish you could type in a keyword and let you sort through pictures to choose from like microsoft greetings. I like it but just not quite what I expected. Looking for better programs. ... Read more
