Pitiful product
This program is simply terrible. It is EXTREMELY hard to use. The hairstyles don't look like real colors, the masking process is really hard, and the only pros to this program are that you can see the names of the makeup, and you can use template models. If you want a true digital make-over this is NOT what you want.

Not Worth It
If you're looking for a program that will help you find a new hair style for yourself, I wouldn't recommend this one. There aren't many styles to choose from and some of them are unrealistic. I have dark brown hair and none of the hair styles matched my hair color. Also, those hair styles that I liked were only in Blond and Red and there's no option to change the color to my own. The lipstick section is very difficult to use and never seems to look right. There aren't many sunglasses to choose from. But some of them look okay. The ones with different colors (pink, blue) never look right. The hat section was okay, but I doubt most poeple would wear them. Most of the jewlery looks very odd, but some of it was okay. I would only recommend this program to those who just want to have a little fun with making people look kinda funny. Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover 2002 Deluxe makes it easy to create a whole new you in minutes. (Just try not to take it too seriously or expect any life-changing transformations.) Installation is quick and easy and the program's interface is clean and simple to navigate, once you click around a bit. This not a new program, but a bundle of previously released versions of Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover and Cosmopolitan Fashion Makeover Deluxe.

The first thing you need to do after installing Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover is import a headshot of yourself, either from your digital camera or a scanner. The program comes with some standard photos of models you can use, but that's hardly as fun. Getting the photo right is the most difficult part of using this program. You'll need to make sure you're well lit, you're in front of a plain background, your hair is completely pulled back, all your accessories are removed, and the photo is straight on from the front. Any weirdness will potentially make you look freakish.

The best part of this program by far is playing with hairstyles--there are hundreds of styles in just as many colors. While some of the styles are decidedly awful, many are acceptable and even cute. There are some styles that might be suitable for men, but only if the guy wants to look like a member of the Strokes. The makeup section is clunkier to use and slightly less useful--we found it hard to make any of the makeup choices look natural.

The second disc, Cosmopolitan Fashion Makeover Deluxe, lets you input your measurements, import your made-over face from Virtual Makeover, and try on clothes. However, we weren't even able to import our face, because the two programs were incompatible. The clothes are also relatively generic, so we didn't see the point in trying on the "daring new looks" the program touts.It should also be pointed out that most of this program seems to be paid for by sponsors, so your choices for, say, jewelry, are limited to the one company that wanted to pay for placement. Incidentally, the box is loaded with so many coupons, flyers, and ads that you might wonder why you're even paying for the product at all.

Though we had a few doubts, we really enjoyed using Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover 2002 Deluxe, and decided that we should never, ever get bangs. Click on "See more pictures" to see how we fared with the software. --Ara Jane Olufson ... Read more

The Best Makeover in the world
This was a really good product as I had been looking for a good one for a long time. It was very easy to use. I loved it!

Another box for the same product already in the market
I bought this product because in the front page of the box it anounced that it was a Virtual Makeover 2002 version. After installing the product I realized that it was a boundle of Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover 3 and the Fashion Makeover Deluxe, (both products from year 2000)that information did not appear in the offering of Amazone nor in the description of the software. After searching if there it was a mistake from the Company I realized that in the back of the box with very tyny letters it was something written about the boundle (Amazone doesn't provide information about the back of the box). I recommend that in the future you could be more careful and make the advice to customers saying that "IF...you have...such product..is the same version".
I`m very dissapointed and I feel they took my money.
