Worth it's weight in cubic zirconia!
Do Buy this product if.......
you are a small business owner, you are in communications graphics and you like to experiment, or you have been thrown the baton for your company's website.

Photo Objects, Vol. 2 is well suited to an individual or firm that needs 'B' grade object images for basic and intermediate visual projects. If you are a professional graphic artist, you will want to consider this package to satiate the needs of your smaller budget clients. Most image companies will charge you anywhere from $20 to $200+ for one high quality image. If you use 20 "Photo Objects" of the 50,000 included, you will have used the package well.

Don't buy it if.........
you are a professional charging more than $30/hr and your livelyhood depends on designing perfect work for maximum communication impact, or if you are a perfectionist - money is no object, and you own a mac.

HIGHLIGHTs:
The new search engine is great. Finding the closest image to what you want will take roughly 5 minutes. If you do alot of webwork, this product is worth at very least $200 dollars and is a steal of a deal. DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!
This has got to be the absolute worst software ever.

There is nothing about this software that is acceptable. The quality of the graphics is suspect at best. If you wanted to get clip art of a tree for example, you have the choice of two trees--both appear to be banzai trees.

Installing the software is quick since but since it doesn't install correctly--according to the scant directions that are provided only in the CD cover--it doesn't matter.

It says that you can pull clip art off the net in the form of web images. You cannot. The option under the heading in your Accessories file (by the way, it is not the same heading that the manual says will be there) doesn't exist.

And if that was not all, the company that makes the software "global star" refered me to their sister company when I complained. Their sister company didn't have any answers either. When I asked for a refund or a replacement, I was referred back to global star which is now ignoring my pleas.

To summarize, this is the absolute worst software I have ever purchased. Do yourself a favor and pass it up. ... Read more

Not Worth It
This was the first clip art package I purchased, and I wish that I'd made a different choice. First of all, the images are not terribly high quality. The vector image can't be used in other program. The browser application is non-instinctive, and does not allow you to view thumbnails of images without actually changing disks every time you want to search a different category. There are a few images, photographs, mostly that are usable, but the majority of them look dated and ill-concieved.

My recommendation is to check out Big Box of Art. A much better product at pretty much the same price.

There are too pictures, which at first I thought would be great. However, many ,many pictures are black and white. I thought most would have been color. However, this software is a good thing to have. I just thought it would be different. ... Read more

A fast and easy way to create labels, Art Explosion Label Factory Deluxepromises endless hours of fun. Label Factory Deluxe is easy to install and easyto use. With basic and complex features and exciting extras, such as aCD-labeling kit, this program can be fun for the whole family.

Label Factory's quick-start menu gives the user three options to create labels:using a label-maker wizard, starting from scratch, or using a label template.The label wizard contains eight categories: Audio/Video, Business/Office,Envelopes, CD/Diskette, Home/School, Kids, School, and Industry Labels. Thesample templates are a bit basic and immature in that the user cannot changecolor schemes and fonts. Also, the 25,000 clip-art images are all in cartoonstyle and look out of place on anything seeking to be professional andpresentable in the workplace. However, the label wizard is a good place fornovices to start gathering ideas and feeling their way through the creativeprocesses.

Creating a label from the template or from scratch presents the user with ablank screen and vague selections. Inserting text and clip art (again choosingfrom colorful animations!) was in no way intuitive, and sizing them to fit intothe mold was nearly impossible. It was extremely difficult to find a middleground with Art Explosion Label Factory. It seemed that the user must eitherwant to create amusing yet personal labels for household items and personalcorrespondence or possess a detailed knowledge of sophisticated desktoppublishing tools to create anything worthy of presentation.

To its credit, Art Explosion Label Factory Deluxe did prove useful for creatingmass-mailing labels. The features to import address books, maintain addressbooks within the program, and produce large quantities are extremely efficient.In addition, the different selections in the label wizard under theaddress-label category are perhaps the most extensive section in the program.

In the end, this product would be a fun activity for the kids on a rainy day.Children would doubtless take pleasure in adding their names to the colorfulpictures and stickers that can be sent away on postcards to friends. Art Explosion Label Factory Deluxe
Oh, how I wish there had been a customer review when I was thinking to buy this label maker. I researched as much as I could from Art Explosion's website, asked a co-worker's opinion and in the end purchased and hoped for the best. The wizards program is useless for my needs, and I also had trouble with shrinking the font. The clip art is childish and simplistic and the font selection is the same variety that comes with any new computer except less of them.Unless you want to make *cute* labels for jam jars, leave this one alone. I really regret buying this product.
