2-0 out of 5 stars Where is the online feature???
As an elementary school teacher, I was excited about this product, but I am finding two things extremely annoying. It attempts to register online everytime the appliction starts, but the website which it attempts to reach does not exist. Also, all of the online support/library is nonexistent, which was one of the features which prompted me to by this software. That's why this product is defective until this problem is corrected. I expected more from Simon and Schuster! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!!
I bought this cd at officemax and it is the WORSE program on my computer... It's even more frustrating than a virus!

1-0 out of 5 stars Shouldn't even be on the market.
This is the worst thing I have bought in a long time. I can't even get it to install on Windows 2000. They have a patch on the website, but nothing. It still does not install. This is a good example of You get what you pay for. Luckily I have another computer with Windows 98. But after I installed it I have to admit I was greatly disapointed. It was definitely not worth the headache. Save yourself 20$ and go get real a program.

1-0 out of 5 stars Big disappointment!
Don't waste your money on this because it is terrible software. I bought it to help my sister with biology class, but no student can learn with a program done this badly! The 2 disk thing is inconvenient and very annoying. You have to switch the disk to see 3d models. The diagrams are terribly drawn. Why would someone put this terrible product out on the market is beyond my comprehension. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT'S A RIP OFF!

1-0 out of 5 stars A waste of money
I bought Human 3D and I also bought a $1.99 cd on the body and it turns out the $1.99 was better than Human 3D. I through Human 3D in the grabage. I would be imbarressed to give it to anyone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy the 2CD version!
I bought this and it won't even load in Windows 2000! I just plain doesn't install. They have a patch on their website but I gave up. Maybe the 4CD version is better but avoid the 2CD version, definately if you're in Win2k. At least I got a nice double-CD case out of it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonders of the Oceans and Barrier Reef revealed
My kids and I loved this set of 4 CD's. As an educational resource or just to increase personal knowledge of what lies beaneath the surface of the sea it is excellent value. My son sits glued to the monitor mesmerized by the Great Barrier Reef Screen Saver. I feel these CD's have something of interest for all ages. WE love the sea but I think anyone will be fascinated by the contents and enjoy the brilliant images.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Barrier Reef experience of a lifetime!!
Wow!! The Great Barrier Reef Screen Saver is really cool. Makes you feel like you are right there in Australia (not couped up in the office). Combined with the other 3 educational Ocean CD's this is a terrific resource. It is exciting to experience the wonders beneath the oceans of the world on your PC. 3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price
For the price, this program isn't too bad. Only 3 of the 4 CDs in the set work with Windows XP, though it's packaged as a 95/98/Me/2000/XP product. They'll send you an upgrade to make it work for an additional $10... not exactly the kind of support that warms the heart. The animations on the CDs are well done. It's best for older kids--most of the content appears to be text based, with some 3D animation thrown in. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Lighting fires and stringing wires... It's all in a day's work with InventorLabs Technology. This super-cool software package gives you awindow into the laboratories of Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, and James Watt, each of whom is kind enough to explain his work with electriclights, telephones, and steam engines--and let you do a little experimenting ofyour own.

Once you've absorbed a bit of information about what the inventorsare trying to do, you can manipulate the equipment and try new combinations, learning what works and what doesn't, and ultimately design your ownexperiments. This unique feature is a great asset for the creative learner;hours can whiz by as you try new combinations, take notes, and keep working onyour invention. With this program, kids and grownups can develop the samecritical reasoning skills that inventors and scientists use every day, ratherthan just passively reading about the process.

The interface and lab graphicsare gorgeous and easy to get lost in as you explore the labs, inventions, andtimelines that reveal the inventors' historical surroundings. The softwareitself is easy to install and doesn't drain system resources, making it greatfor older computers as well as this year's models. Show those 19th-centuryknow-it-alls that you've got what it takes, too: pick up InventorLabsTechnology and get to work. (Ages 10 and older) --Rob Lightner ... Read more
