2-0 out of 5 stars Poorly Written
This program has lots of potential however it is lacking in several areas. The first is that there are clitches and if an area is clicked on erroneously then the program freezes. I had to shut down the computer each time and reboot. Also the instructions and some of the games are too complicated for my soon to be 5 year old. Others were really fun for her. The most frustrating however is that I never did figure out what I had to do in Belle's Writing Room to complete this section in preparation for the Surprise Ball (and I have a medical degree). If anyone knows please email me so we can at least see the dress we picked out and the music and dance we created.

3-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining for a while..
My girls are 3 and 5 and had a hard time with this game.
There are several areas that require skills above them.
They did enjoy the other parts of the game, but once they finished they didn't really want to play again. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A Disney Dud!
We were very dissapointed in this game. Many of the activities are exactly the same and my child quickly tired of them. To earn "rewards" she had to answer so many questions (more than I could sit through) that she wanted to move on before completing the task. We would recommend the Jumpstart series instead.

1-0 out of 5 stars disappointing kindergarten software
After using Disney Interactive's Phonics Quest, which I think is the best of the dozen-or-so titles of early-elementary-school-age software I've tried, I looked forward to using the Kindergarten software from the same vendor. However, my five-year-old and I were immediately frustrated.

To start with, if your default disk for Windows is anything other than c:, this software crashes. That's an indication of badly-engineered code.

But it isn't just attention to detail to software engineering that makes this program a bust. The way that the kid interacts with it is confusing and boring. It comes nowhere close to matching the interest generated by the other three kindergarten titles we've tried: Reader Rabbit Kindergarten, Arthur's Kindergarten, and even the very sleepy but serviceable older title from Disney, "Winnie the Pooh Kindergarten".

My child will never ask to use this product again, I'm sure. A complete disappointment. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Hard Drive Eater
My Grandson, age 6, didn't like the load time, nor the grapics, and the slow loading and game resonse.
Beware this game claims to use 120 megabytes of your harddrive...That is just to load the game. After you play it a couple times (5x for my spawn) it creeps up exponentially! I removed it when it hit 5,419 MB. That's 5 gigabytes out of my 13 gig harddrive. Most games average 500 mb (ie spongebob, harry potter, etc. I could fit 11 of those games on this computer. The graphics are sickly compared to tying up resources.

3-0 out of 5 stars 3-D yeah right but still good!
First of all people. On the box it says that some of the game is in 3-D. Yeah right. When you put on the 3-D glasses it is not in 3-D. It does not even come out of the screen like in the real movie!
Well their is one 3-D PICTURE AND THAT'S IT! THE REST IS NOT EVEN IN 3-D!!!!!!!!
But oh well. The game is really chalenging. NOt FOR KIDS UNDER 9! OR EVEN HIGHER!!!!
It is still fun though. You play as Juni looking for his sister Carmen who is stuck in a video game. If you saw the movie then you will get this. If you didnot then forget it.
This game is really confusing and challenging. MABEY THAT'S WHY THERE ARE ONLY 3 LEVELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, lol.
I was really hoping it would be in 3-D! But I guess that was a Big let down. I beat the game though. It was okay. Nothing special.

5-0 out of 5 stars Could be more....
This has a nice interface with very smooth gameplay. ... Installation was perfect. Also, i checked the system requirements on the bottom of the box and it clearly stated all requrements. ... I have had this game since day 3 of release and can tell you there is not one missing requirement on the box. It's all there. This game is great for everyone in the family and 'almost' follows the ideals of the movie. Also, you don't have to play it in 3d. However, that's what gives this game its' cheesy fun value. Good game with not quite enough to do. But, what there is to do, is worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars How about an actual review?
Hey slothmo,
This is a place for actual reviews not your rants about pc versus dedicated game boxes. I saw that the product got one star, and if I hadn't taken the time to read your ramblings I might not have purchased the game. Don't give something one star and have the nerve to not actually have used the title.
I'll send a real review after I've had a chance to play it on my SCREAMING FAST PC!

1-0 out of 5 stars Be Aware.
We recently purchased this software game for our children. They played & enjoyed it. The next day, when I went to boot up the PC, I had this error message waiting for me on the screen:

"ERROR: error loading explorer.exe
You MUST reinstall windows"

What a headache. I had no windows. I had no data. All was lost! I spent hours just trying to get the PC back to normal. I didn't know why or what had happened....until my daughter reinstalled this software again, so she could play it, and the exact same thing happened all over again.

A real bad glitch is in this software! Be careful & be aware that this could happen to your PC.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money
I bought this game since I'm a big fan of pinball and a huge fan of the movie Lilo and Stitch. I loaded the game and it was entertaining for about 10 minutes. There are three levels of the same table, one for kids, adults and pinball wizards, which translates to easy, medium and tough difficulty levels. My disappointment with the game is it only contains one table and no content. I expected multiple levels or maybe even a cut sceen or two. This software title is extreemly lacking in development, content and is a disappointment from other Disney Interactive titles. This would have been better as a freebee of Disney's website or even an extra on the DVD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just plain fun
It's a fun little game that's easy to play. I bought this as a gift for my nephew and now that's all he talks about. I wish they bundled this with the movie because playing it makes you want to watch the movie all over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value
Fun pinball game for parents and the kids. Several levels, lots of powerups and the characters are right out of the movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney's Lilo & Stitch Pinball Review

4-0 out of 5 stars Another great Disney action game
When we purchased the "Tarzan" DVD, there was a free demo of the PC game included. We figured our son was having so much fun with this, he wouldn't need the full version. Maybe he didn't, but I did! I got so addicted to this little teaser that I wanted the entire game. For under ten bucks, it's a steal.

Level one begins with Tarzan as a child. Gather bananas and other fruits to power up your "lives", throw coconuts to abolish dangerous animals, swing from vine to vine, collect the letters that spell "Tarzan", and "tree surf" (slide down a tree, duck under and hop over branches, collect tokens). For parents concerned with violence, the only possible objection might be that Tarzan (young and old version) carries a knife he can use to swipe at and abolish animals- the plus side is that once they're dead, they dissipate into a spray of butterflies. On level 8, Tarzan fights Sabor, the leopard that killed his family in the movie. Here, Tarzan uses a spear in a thrusting stab motion, and when he wins, Sabor merely runs off- I must stress that there is no blood or graphic violence. But if you're someone who's sensistive to even the implication of violence, you should know this before purchasing the game. We love it, and so does our son. Lots of fun stuff, even some more difficult challenges to keep your kids interested. A great pick.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good First Action Game
We picked this title up at a garage sale, and it is now my girl's favorite. I suspect more sophisticated gamers would scoff, but that isn't where we are at. We've only had more educational stuff like 3rd grade adventures and some lightweight activity centers like Toy Story. This game is pure fun - surfing down the trees, throwing dirt at animals that have the gall to get in the way, and 'ground pounding' to break into caves. Aside from start-up difficulties, there was none of this "Dad, I can't get this to work" so common with kid's titles.

We did have trouble on first trying to use it - the CD insert is simply wrong, and it is not at all obvious how to get to the online help. Deep in the online help you will find the actual keyboard mapping, and things start working much better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth it
My daughter received this software as a gift. Much to her dismay, the program never worked. I experienced so many problems installing the program and never got it to work online with the internet features or offline either. The Disney Girlfriend server did go offline in Feb 2004. I am in the process of requesting my money back.

1-0 out of 5 stars Internet functionality is no longer supported
Disney Interactive will no longer be supporting the Internet aspects of Disney Girlfriends. The Online Host Server for the program will be off-line as of February of 2004. While you can still play the game without the internet functions it just isn't the same. My daughter use to love to play this game but now we will probably use it as a coaster.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!
I bought this game for my 6 year old daughter. We installed it and it was a complete mess! I had to uninstall it and reinstall it 3 times just to access this parental control area. I would open it but could not enter anything. Then we could not sign in on the sign in page. Finally we got everything to work and went online to access the online features of the game and as soon as we started the game, it said there was a new update from disney and to wait until the game updated. As soon as it did, it shut down. After that, when we tried to start it again and it said the wrong disk was in the drive and we couldn't play it after that. Called the CS number on the games manual and got my money back!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best, not the worst
I bought this game for my son who is almost two. He enjoyed it to a point, some of the games are a little hard for him, but he can play most of them. My biggest disappointment is that I will be taking it back this evening because the packaging says it will run on Windows XP, well this is partly true. It will run, but not correctly. I have run into this problem before with trying to find an educational game for my son that will actually run correctly. Overall, though, if it would actually work on my computer, these games would be pretty good.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
My son began playing on the computer with BabyWow. After counless hours of learning with BabyWow! he advanced to Reader Rabbit Toddler. Both of these are quality games. Compared to these, Disney Learning Toddler was disappointing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Starting Software
My son started playing this at 16 months. You can hit any key on the keyboard to make something happen or progress to point-and-click. Thanks to the Mickey and Minnie games my son learned his letters and shapes by 20 months. He also amazed us by learning how to point-and-click at 18 months. He's now 29 months and still enjoys playing some of these games but has progressed to Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo.

I have to say that this is one of the best purchases we made for him and it's helped him stay ahead of his playmates when it comes to counting, the alphabet, and his computer skills. Within the coming months we'll probably give the Disney preschool software pack a try.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bored 4 yr old.
Both programs lack any variation within the games. There is one task and one way to do it. There is far too much explanation for each game on the Winnie the Pooh game. My grandson who will spent hours, if allowed, on the computer was bored in minutes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Learn ABCs, 123s and much more with Disney Friends!
I bough this CD-ROM 3-pack mainly for the Pooh and Mickey discs (the Rolie Polie Olie disk is not part of thiw review as I was unable to unstall it at the time of the review...an error with the disk, perhaps?). My daughter, who is 27 months old, LOVES both Pooh and Mickey and I thought this would be an excellent way to introduce her to the computer while using interactive methods to teach ABCs, 123s, and much more.

First, the Mickey CD specifics:

* learn letters with Mickey by playing hide-and-seek with six different letters at a time (Mickey says each letter)
* learn numbers (1-10) with Pluto by instructing him to bark at the gophers who pop out of holes holding numbers (Mickey says each number)
* learn shapes with Minnie by helping her find things that are of a certain shape. Shapes included are circle, square, triangle, diamond, and heart.
* explore music concepts with Donald by dragging the mouse over different items in his backyard to make noises
* there are coloring pages that you can print out which focus on the concepts addressed throughout the CD, and more

Pooh CD specifics:

* learn opposites with Pooh as you drag the mouse over different thigns in his house
* learn shapes, colors, letters, and numbers with all of Pooh's friends as you pop balloons containing these things
* help build your memory with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Roo as you try to remember what each character likes (they give you clues and you must guess accordingly)
* explore music concepts with Christopher Robin and Pooh ans 4 of his friends by dragging your mouse over different instruments to make music as well as dragging your mouse over the characters to sing songs
* explore different languages (French and Spanish) with Owl and Roo by helping Pooh choose items from behind a stage and hearing the word in both English and another language.
* there are coloring pages and other printing options based upon the concepts addressed throughout the CD

Rolie Polie Olie CD (some details as shown on box):

* help Olie clean his room and search for Spot
* make music with Oilie in his kitchen
* go scuba diving in Olie's tub
* make "Tellys" out of household items
* mix and match colors in Olie's room

I think this is a wonderful CD-rom set (without reference to the Olie CD, of course)! My daughter LOVES playing the different games on each CD-ROM and frequently asks for "Mickey" and "Pooh" games. she really likes to pop the balloons on the Pooh CD, and likes the shapes with Minnie on the Mickey CD. The best feature is that this game is truly made for young children who don't have the hand-eye coordination to fully operate a computer and mouse. The mouse activates functions on teh CD-ROM not by clicking, but by rolling over things (during play) and keeping the mouse on an item to change between tasks. There are special larger cursors throughout the game as well, so it's easier for littler ones to see what they are moving. And if they can't yet operate a mouse (my daughter just knows how to click the mouse, but hasn't figured out how to make it move yet), tehy can press keys on the keyboard and it will activate different parts in each "game".

I wish I could have reviewed the Olie game, but I will definitely edit my review once I am able to install the Olie game (still haven't figured out why it isn't installing correctly - get an install error each time).

I would definitely recommend this product, in particular if your toddler is already fond of the particular characters in teh game. My daughter was very familiar with (and in love with) Pooh and Mickey prior to purchasing this game, so it's possible that she enjoys it so much because many of her favorite cartoon characters are the "stars" of the game. But as a parent, I think this software is definitely an invaluable learning tool - the familiar characters are an added bonus. ... Read more

But as a parent, I think this software is definitely an invaluable learning tool - the familiar characters are an added bonus. ... Read more
