Putt-Putt come back!
My daughter (and I) have loved Putt-Putt. Particularly "goes to the zoo" and "racetrack" games. This game just does not run as well. It is slow and the speech is choppy. The voice of Putt-Putt has changed and not really for the better. I wish I would have read the reviews here before purchasing it. Everything the previous reviewers have said is true.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy Putt-Putt Enters the Race Instead!
Pep's Birthday Surprise is a definite let-down from Putt-Putt Enters the Race! The major flaw in the software is that the game is less open-ended and too full of animated scenes ... the charm of the Putt-Putt games is that kids are encouraged to use critical thinking skills and to figure out (sometimes obscure) problems. These features are curtailed in this particular game, as if the designers have lost faith in their audience's ability to problem solve and to do multi-step reasoning ... A minor but disconcerting feature is that Putt-Putt's voice has dropped in pitch, which will prove very distracting to Putt-Putt parent veterans!

1-0 out of 5 stars Stepford Putt
We had to install this on an XP account with privileges, and we still have no confidence it will not bomb. We gave up trying to install on Windows 2000 and 98 systems.

It takes forever to get through the scene chat. Our children are really patient; this is the first time we've felt compelled to use the Enter key to end the character chats.

The bonhomie is missing. Even down to the choice of Putt's voice. Putt used to seem about 7 years old, and now he sounds like his voice is about to change.

Putt used to be an innocent little guy, helpful and kind, but in this game, he must constantly get rid of Pep in order to discuss the party with co-conspirators. In most scenes, you must first click on Pep so that Putt-Putt can tell him to "go play with your friend", out the door, unsupervised...

Better to buy "Enters the Race" first, then try "Zoo", "Circus", "Moon", and "Parade".

1-0 out of 5 stars Not designed properly for XP
My 3 year old son loved Putt-Putt enters the race, but I'm disappointed with this game and Window's XP. I had to install the game as Administrator, but my son's account is set up as a limited user to keep him from deleting important data from the computer. The game does NOT work properly from limited accounts and I can't find a patch to fix it. So far it runs, but you can't save/load any games. A simple bug that should have been fixed in normal beta testing. Good ideas, neat pictures - bad programming.

Update: I contacted their technical support. They gave me a useless response and didn't offer to help me solve it. Fortunately some web searches helped me figure out how to fix this.

BAD Technical support for this software.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waaay too slow
This game was unplayably slow on a computer that was adequate
for previous Humongous Software games.

Humongous is clearly capable of making playable games, so there
must have been something different about his one.
The alliance with Atari is new to me, as is their use of
Bink Video and Miles Sound System from RAD Game Tools.
Note that "Pajama Sam: Life is Tough When You Lose Your Stuff"
also has complaints about slowness on Amazon. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old LOVES it. Great fun!
My oldest daughter loves Dora and took to this game immediately. She loves to sit on my lap and play and our father-daughter time is often spent on the computer. She can't get enough.

The 3 levels offer a nice change for children that are getting bored with the game. Some puzzles she plays at level 1 where some puzzles she plays at level 3.

The game is VERY educational and fun and it follows the same format as the cartoon does. She'll turn 3 soon and she still loves it.

I'd also recommend Dora's Backpack Adventure (they make a trip to the library), Little People Discovery Airport, Winnie the Pooh (where Pooh gathers all the friends for Eyores birthday party) and Mickey Mouse (where Mickey and Minnie stop off at Goofy's gas station / Daisey's diner).

2-0 out of 5 stars Average at best game; Dora only redeeming feature.
Do not buy this game if you are used to the better quality games Humongous software has produced for NickJR characters in the past: Humongous was sold to Infogames, and well, if this title is indicative, much was lost.

This game is saved only by the appearance of Dora. I really feel the two star rating is generous. My daughter is Dora crazy, and even she shows little to no interest in this game (and she loves edutainment computer games).

The program is not well executed, and there is little asttention to detail. One my daughter noticed was that at the begining of the game Dora collects 5 books to return to the liebrary. When she returns the books at the end of the journey, the colors of the books which come out of the backpack don't match the ones put in, prompting my daughter to ask "what happened to the books we put in Dora's backpack...

1-0 out of 5 stars Dora the Explorer takes you a short and boring journey
My 4 year-old daughter completed this game in less than a half-hour. The short-length of the game actually caused her too cry! I was shocked at the lack of depth in the game given that it weighed in at over 250MB for the install.

She's crying as I type this. "I don't like this game!"

2-0 out of 5 stars Atari must really hate paying customers!!
Well I would give this more stars if Atari support weren't so terrible!! The only reason I give it 2 stars is because my daughter loves Dora and likes playing this game because there are plenty of activities to try and places to go. HOWEVER, Atari seems to want to force you (due to their prehistoric copy-protection scheme) to keep the CD-ROM in the drive at all times in order to play the game! How ridiculous! Even though I paid good money for this game and it installed on my hard drive, it does not let you run it from your hard drive. Atari told me that you need to have the CD-ROM in to play it and they "cannot help me get around the copy protection". Well I don't know about anyone else's toddlers, but my 2 year old just loves to open the CD-ROM and take discs out to play with. So this leaves me out of luck if the disc becomes scratched after she's done with it! I think Atari should trust their paying customers a little more and allow them to install the game FULLY to their hard drive... if for nothing else to protect their investment! I will never buy another game by Atari because of this. They have no regards for their paying customers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring!
I have a 3 year old, and after a week, she is already bored with this game. For $20, there should be more to do. It constantly repeats itself, and has no real direction. Very limited number of activities available, and really no variety. I would not recommend this game at all. I am currently reading reviews to find something much more interesting. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars I'd rather use crayons to make a card
We were very excited to get this software because we are HUGE fans of Disney, but we think this software is absolutely awful! The graphics are poorly organized, many of the graphics are fluff and fillers (i.e. the same images only in black & white then again in color), and, overall the program is cumbersome and tedious to use. We are so disappointed in both Sierra and Disney, we suggest you don't waste your time or money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Delightful Program
This is a delightful program. Very versatile and a must for any Disney fan. I am looking forward to the release of Creation 2.

4-0 out of 5 stars great product
i think this "toy" look great! lots of things to do

1-0 out of 5 stars Disney not at its best!
I LOVE anything Disney and was thrilled to see this Print Creations CD!! I bought it for myself and couldn't wait to play with it! I was sooooo disappointed with it though! It has no play to it with the photos! If you enlarge your photograph then you lose half of the template!! There's not openings cut out for you to put your photos in and hide the unwanted part! Also you can't save your work in anything other than their format, so you can't share your work online with family or friends unless you email it which then shrinks it down to about 1/4 the size!! I know Disney is well, DISNEY, but it would be nice to have them actually let us be able to play with their images and templates!
Highly disappointed!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!! Real learning in a fun environment.
Of all the educational software my girls (currently in kindergarten) have played, this is easily my favorite - and theirs too. Much more engaging than similar titles in the JumpStart and Reader Rabbit series.

First, there is more variety in the two CDs in this package than in similar educational software for this age. And the activities are more compelling and less repetitive. My girls are sticking with each activity for a long time rather than always moving on to the next one because the current one gets boring quickly.

Also, this software has competitive games that can be played with the computer or with another player (a child or a parent.) So I get to play. And some of these games actually involve some strategy. For example, in one game, each player controls two pieces that have to move from the start to the finish. The player has to determine which piece should be moved since different actions will result after the move is made. Also, this game uses two dice, so the child gets used to quickly adding two numbers (shown as dots) instead of relying on a spinner pointing to a single number.

Next, the production quality is very high. The games and activities use a 3D environment, and are always interesting to look at. My kids frequently say "Cool" when they see the special effects.

One more item: This game uses the metaphor of Stuart Little's "brainpower" (visually filling in areas of his 'brain') to keep track of what activities have been played and how much more is needed to get a special reward. My kinds understand this, and it motivates them.

I think this is a great kids title. My kids do too.

5-0 out of 5 stars this IS the best ever-- and no wonder why
I got Stuarts Adventures for my three grand daughters and what a success. This game is amazing and like nothing we have ever seen before. There is a scale model of an ancient sailing ship where the children can play, and a scale model of an old steam engine the children ride to a mining town. The adventures are fun for young kids and must have been tested with lots and lots of young children. There is pretty music from different countries, and games with a lot of refreshing variety, cute rewards, and great content. In one game the child learns the letters that begin the names of beautiful children from many cultures. As the game progresses these children whose letters and names are being learned are seen in their own cultures. The game culminates with the child learning famous landmarks on each continent and seeing where these different cultures are located on a world amazing example of the way gifted kindergarten teachers can teach language in a cultural context. The highest level rewards are meaningful because as the child moves through the games they accumulate "brain power" that lets them create toys on one CD, and on the other that lets they decode a mystery note so Stuart can follow his aunt Polly on an adventure. Its SO addictive, and the kids learn SO easily and don't get tired of it, that I became curious about who could have created such a masterpiece. I went to the website on the box (and also the interactive manual on the CD)and read all about it. These games were made by a research and development team at a top university. The team was a cognitive psychologist, two developmental psychologists, a linguist, an art teacher, a prize winning composer, an experienced kindergarten teacher, and several computer scientists and graphic artists. This is why the games keep the attention of kids and actually teach them things that coordinate with school. It must be why it all appears so hand crafted and beautiful. This is a really great achievement and I agree with the other review I read here. Its the best value to date -- and its no wonder why!

5-0 out of 5 stars It never ends! A great learning tool, but a game for kids
This is the best value in computer software to date. The games never end and are incredibly educational. But your kid will never know it! The games include board games, dot to dot, matching, tetris-like adding game, crosswords and more. My daughter can't get enough of it. We read the reviews and yes, I'll agree it is advanced for a 3 yr old. My daughter is 4 and recognizes her letter (but doesn't yet know their sounds) and knows numbers by sight up to 10. If your child doesnt know their numbers or letters you'll have to play with them. But isn't that fun, too?! Really, this is a great game.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Little hard for 3 year olds
My three year old enjoys seeing Stewart on the computer, but I think she doesn't understand the concept of most of this game. She likes doing the dot-to-dots and then coloring them but it was to hard for her.I found no setting to make it easier for her to play.

5-0 out of 5 stars If there were academy awards for educational software...
If there were academy awards for children's educational software, Stuart's Learning Adventures would win all the Oscars -- for best educational content, for best graphics, for cleverest characters, for best motivation for kids, for best music. This was a spectacular surprise. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars If You Want To Disappoint Your Child Buy This Game
Being the purchasing parent, I got to play the Waste Your Money game with Disney. I like The Wiggles, I have no problem sitting through hours of Wiggley fun, but goodness gracious Disney Interactive! How could you allow this to be put on the market - for 20 dollars no less? My son actually said to me, "Daddy, it's not doing nothing?" (I'll work on his use of double-negatives later) Uhh, Merry Christmas Son?!? It offers NO stimulation for the childs mind and has NO entertainment value. Basically, it's the PC game equivalent of a cardboard cut-out.

Let me give you an example of how bad it is: You can choose to watch three little Wiggles video clips, well, the problem is when The Wiggles sing their mouths don't match-up to the song being played - none of the three videos are in sync! I mean seriously people?!?

The one good thing about Wiggle Bay is that it gets my son off the computer. Now THAT'S worth 20 dollars.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money!
Trust me when I say, don't waste your money, this game is not worth it no matter how much of a Wiggle fan your child is. My son is a huge fan so I got this for him thinking it would be the perfect thing to introduce him to the computer. After we played each game just one time he was bored and wanted to get down to go play and that isn't like him when it comes to anything dealing with The Wiggles, he eats, breathes, and sleeps The Wiggles.

2-0 out of 5 stars Should have been called "Dorothy's Cheap Mini-Games"
The voice of Dorothy the Dinosaur provides instructions as you navigate around an island-shaped menu of 8 mini-games. Unfortunately, the games themselves (Tic-Tac-Toe, simple jigsaw puzzles and mazes, etc.) are very short, unimaginative and look cheap. They are of the quality that you can easily find for free on websites like Nick Jr., Playhouse Disney, or PBS Kids.

One of menu options isn't even a game at all - it's just 3 short clips from the "Wiggle Bay" video. Another game where you water four of Dorothy's flowers, is actually quite frustrating -- each plant starts dying if you remove the water for more than a split-second, so the only way to get them all to bloom is to be in a ridiculous constant motion.

And besides those three video clips, the Wiggles themselves are barely present at all in the game. Comic-book-style renderings of their faces appear on the screen, and you'll hear an occasional "Hi I'm Jeff" or "You're very good at this game", but Dorothy is the voice who provides all the instructions.

Overall, a very disappointing product.

3-0 out of 5 stars NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
This is not high quality software. The program is slow and to simple even for my 18 month old daughter.I have a top of the line Gateway computer, and I have never seen anything move as slow as this. She loves the Wiggles so I feel we got are moneys worth she can look at the one of the three videos included in the software ( they are only small pieces). I thought we would get a better program with Disney names on the product.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better for Older Kids and No Wiggle Music
No Wiggles music is incorporated in the game. The computer games are better designed for older kids. Games include Tic, Tac, Toe and maze games. Not the best children's computer game out there. ... Read more

Pajama Sam: Games to Play on Any Day has no 3-D graphics, nospecial effects, and no gimmicks. It's excellent. This refreshing program puts aclever Humongous Entertainment spin on remakes of classic games. Remember whenkids pulled checkers and Parcheesi out of the closet on a rainy day instead ofpowering up the Game Boy? This CD-ROM evokes that feeling so completely, it'seasy to forget these board games are taking place onscreen instead of on theliving-room floor.

The first treat is that no installation is necessary, since these games rundirectly from disc. After an animated sequence that features Pajama Samrummaging through that game closet on a drearily wet day, players arrive at asimple screen where there are nine different games to choose from. Here playerscan also pick one of three levels of difficulty, and whether they want to playthe computer or a fellow human being. There's even a demo mode for folks whohave been playing so much Super Mario they've forgotten how to playcheckers.

The games have names like Jumping Beans, Fans and Teleporters, and 4 CheesePizza, but don't be fooled. You'll be playing checkers, Chutes and Ladders, andsomething similar to Aggravation, yet not so close as to inspire a lawsuit fromMilton Bradley. This program also contains versions of Concentration(Concentrate!), and tic-tac-toe (Cheese and Crackers). Our favorite was afamiliar-feeling game called Happy Fun Squares where we linked dots with lines, eventually building squares, against a character named Darkness. Even on theeasy level, Darkness managed to be an enjoyable opponent, amass squares withfrightening efficiency, and whup us thoroughly.

Humongous Entertainment deserves kudos for going back to the basics and creatinga simple program with staying power. It's no accident that these games areclassics: most of them require strategic thinking and logic to win. Well, exceptfor Cheese and Crackers (a.k.a. tic-tac-toe), where a well-played game always ends in a tie. (Rated for Everyone, we recommend ages 5 andolder.) --Anne Erickson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Humongous/Infogames #1
This is absolutely the best set of kids' computer games except for PuttPutt's Activity Pack (same company)! We have most of PuttPutt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and Spy Fox, plus the soccer, baseball and football. Not only has my 6 year old been playing them successfully for 3 years, but the neighbor kids up to age 12 come over to play them as well (for the past 3 years). You can't go wrong with any of these products for kids not yet too sophisticated to demand interactive advanced graphics. These are the best, and entirely inoffensive.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best kid games...
My kid has all the Freddi Fish , Spy Fox & Pajama Sam titles.
My kid loved the games since he was 4 years old.
Humongous Entertainment did an excellent job.
These games will challenge the intelligence of kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pajama Sam Games to Play on Any Day
The sixth Pajama Sam release, this new game doesn't look like it will live up to the others, but it does. There are ten fun new versions of old games. They can be more addicting than the originals, especially if you're a PJ Sam fan! It's a rainy day, and Pajama Sam doesn't know what to do. He looks in the closet for games, and ends up in a world of fun, revisiting with some of his old friends. Because you can't save games, THIS GAME DOESN'T REQUIRE ANY HARD DRIVE SPACE. It will work on practically any computer Windows 95, Mac 7.5.5, or higher, and doesn't need to be installed. It doesn't come with a CD case, just an envelope, but this game stays in my CD-ROM drive all the time because it's so hard to stop playing. I would recommend this for any Pajama Sam junkee, or just a PJ Sam beginner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great software for young children!

Get behind the controls of U.R.V., the Ultimate Robotic Vehicle, in Rescue Heroes: Tremor Trouble. An earthquake has hit the amusement park, and animals and people are in need of quick assistance. Players ages 4 to 7 can stop a runaway roller coaster, save animals from a flooding river, retrieve a downed submarine, and restart stalled high-wire trolley cars in this four-part adventure!

Even with three levels of difficulty, the activities in Tremor Trouble are simple, and children will have no trouble completing the game's tasks. The activities are basic skill builders. To put together the animal bridge, players must match up logs of varying lengths; to restart the stalled trolley, they match up gears of varying colors within its motor. One pleasing aspect of the game is that each of these four activities comes in two parts: the educational matching drill and an arcade game. To save the roller coaster, for example, U.R.V. must first put out the fires threatening to burn its structure. Only then can players sort out the machine pieces needed to rebuild the damaged ride.

It is a shame that, despite the fact that its animal-rescue component is certain to appeal to female gamers as well as to boys, Rescue Heroes Wendy Waters and Ariel Flyer don't appear in Tremor Trouble. What's more, the game's learning component is very basic, unlikely to seriously challenge players more than once or twice. These complaints aside, Tremor Trouble is bright and cheerful, and parents will appreciate the nonviolent structure of its storyline even as their kids delight in the fast-paced adventure format of its activities. The easy-to-follow instructions and tons of hearty encouragement served up by the Rescue Heroes team are sure to build player confidence... all while offering plenty of fun. --Alyx Dellamonica ... 2-0 out of 5 stars mediocre software for avid Rescue Heroes fans only
Meteors have hit the planet, resulting in a series of widely scattered emergencies that require the Rescue Heroes to intervene -- and they need your help!!

The graphics are good, the intro is exciting .... but after that the game is totally mediocre. Four activities have three levels of difficulty, but they are quite tedious no matter what level you play. (1) Move around a water maze to rescue people in a flooded movie studio, and shoot a life preserver over a moving line of floating objects. (2) Navigate a maze on a rock face as you rescue stranded climbers while avoiding vicious eagles and snakes. (3) Aim a hose at brush fires so you can find and rescue animals on an African preserve. (4) Snowboard down a ski slope without hitting the shrubbery so you can dig people out from under an avalanche.

The hype is here, but the games are very boring. Your child has little flexibility or independence when performing tasks, and those tasks probably use only 2% of your child's brain power. For example, in order to dig people out of the avalanche, you click on the snow cave over and over, it doesn't matter where, until the person trapped within tells you how great you are -- and every time it's the same person in the snow cave. Each game is rather mindless in this way. There is little reasoning required and no skills acquired.

This is lame software that has neither educational value nor excitement. When there are so many worthwhile children's software titles out there, don't waste your money or your child's time on this lazy stuff. It may be worthwhile for the truly avid Rescue Heroes fan, but even that is doubtful. This was our first Rescue Heroes title. It is also our last.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lava Landslide
I gave this game to my son as an early birthday present. He's almost four and loves the Rescue Heroes. The reviews I read were mixed so I decided to buy it anyway. I'm really glad I did. Sure it's challenging, but it's a good excuse for the parents to get involved. First I did the hard parts for him, to show him what needed to be done. Then I guided him through them and finally he ended up doing it all by himself. He was so proud when he accomplished the hard tasks that he couldn't do at first!

Unlike most computer games this one requires the use of the arrow keys instead of the mouse. Well, it's always nice to learn new skills.
I can't wait to give my son the two other RH games I baught for his birthday. I have no doubt he'll love them too.

1-0 out of 5 stars Inaginext Pirate Raider
I gave it a 1 because they did not have a 0, to give. I bought this game for my son and I try to install it and it tells me that it has encountered an error. I go to the web site and it tells me what to do with that error, but after I do what it told me it does the same error thing again. My son and I both got so frustrated and finally gave up. I am returning it to the place where I purchased it for a full refund. Good luck for those of you that also bought this Horrible Game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating game for my almost 5 yr. old
I agree with other reviews that the mouse clicking is very difficult. It's difficult to maneuver the men around. My son tried for a few minutes, became so frustrated, I finished the one mission, but couldn't get him to do any more. Would recommend the I Spy software - ages 6-10, but he loves it! Don't have to know how to read.

4-0 out of 5 stars Yeah Pirate Raider!
My 7-year-old LOVES this game. He'd play from sun up to sun down if I let him. I hear him cheering and clapping in the other room and he's having so much fun!
I'm VERY anti-violence, so when he got this game I was concerned. I was pleased to discover that although the ships sometimes fire on each other, no people are ever involved. This makes it so much more abstract and less about killing. When you capture forts, you fire on canons only and never see people. When you capture other ships, your knife is used only to chop up fruit that's thrown at you by skeletons. Once you capture their gold, you're on your way to fulfill another mission.
Frankly, this game is so much fun I have to admit to playing it myself! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME GAME
First of all, this game is bassically a good game for gamers that like action. Just to let you know this game requires some skill so be prepared. This game only has a few stages, but a lot of gotcha borgs(the little robot things). I recomend this game for those who play action games such as supersmashbros.melee.

this game is AWESOME. i got it 1 week ago and already beat but im playin it again AND IM NOT BORED OF IT, DONT LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE THIS GAME IS THE BEST.dont be fooled by its name, it is NOT ment for 6 year olds, im 14 and i love this game. ME AND MY FRIEND PLAYED IT ALL DAY.the graphics are AMAZING. there are only 2 scenes(when u begin and when you beat the game) BUT THE ART IS AMAZING, IT LOOKS LIKE A TV SHOW. there are over 200 bots, this game NEVER gets boring. BUY TODAY U WILL NOT REGRET IT (buy at ebgames its 40 bucks, toysrus has it sold out, sux right?)

5-0 out of 5 stars I've gotcha with some force!!!
This game is just great! I mean, there are many units to collect, trade and train. As battles progress, your "Borgs" or battling robots gain valuable HP, defense, attack, and beam attack. The only way to get borgs are to get "Battle Points" which are also used as EXP. If you have at least 10,000 BP (Battle Points) then you MAY get a gotcha borg or a "Data Crystal" which is a building block for a powerful Gotcha Borg, however, these are even MORE RARE then a gotcha borg. But, if your persistant, then you'll get a DC (Data Crystal), however, you need 2-4 different DC's, for example, a blue "Flame Dragon" (there are 2 Flame Dragons, one blue and one green) would need Data Crystals 164A & 164B, after you collect them, you see the data crystals merge into one Gotcha Borg. However, some GB's need 4, like Sasuke need DC's 004A, 004B, 004C, 004D! But in the end this game is worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Gotcha Force is Greeeeeeeeeeat!
Gotcha Force has nothing too exciting or new, but it very fun and has a great replay value. With the help of the Gotcha Borgs, you have to save your town from the Death Force. Throughout the game you collect over 200 different kinds of Gotcha Borgs to create your team from. The gameplay is easy to learn and fun, especially the multiplayer modes. I highly recomend this game for anyone of any ages.

This game is COOL!!
This is the best game of the year. you can build up to one hundred robots to play with. But it get boaring after a while. So think about it carfully before you buy it. ... Read more

Putt-Putt and Pep are on their way to the circus, and they're looking forward to three rings of fun. Unfortunately, a hungry goat eats their ticket, so the car and his canine pal must earn their way to a ringside seat. Fortunately, the circus owner has some serious problems, and he enlists Putt-Putt to solve them. The reward--if he succeeds in getting the circus up and running--is a free lifetime ticket to the big top.

Putt-Putt Joins the Circus is a role-playing adventure for children between 3 and 8 years of age. The various circus performers are all refusing to do their shows, and Putt-Putt must change their minds, either by finding a lost item or winning a simple arcade-style challenge. The puzzles and arcade games are easy and straightforward, and users will find extensive animated sequences sprinkled throughout the story. Along the way, they can help out a number of talking vehicles and friendly circus animals. One word of warning: older players may find the animations too lengthy, and the simplicity of the challenges means they will finish the game quickly.

Putt-Putt is an appealing character and he shines in this game, which features large, colorful graphics, great sound, good humor, and a nice mix of storytelling and problem solving. Putt-Putt Joins the Circus also comes with a parent/teacher guide, which suggests methods of reinforcing the lessons of teamwork and kindness that are the game's themes, a nice supplement to the gaming experience. --Alyx Dellamonica ... 5-0 out of 5 stars excellent software for young game players
If your child has played beginning software like JumpStart and is ready to move on to more advanced gameplay, Humongous Entertainment's Putt-Putt series (and Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam, as well) are an excellent choice. These titles take the cognitive tasks up a notch as children must accumulate specific items, navigate a number of locations, and use their problem-solving skills to help their friends and achieve larger goals. Along the way, kind and gentle Putt-Putt and his dog Pep will meet a number of nice characters, visit a variety of interesting locations and play games as they complete the larger tasks.

In Putt-Putt Joins the Circus, the overarching goal is to earn a ticket to the show by performing a variety of tasks and helping the various acts prepare. You must get a nose for the clown, help the organ arrange her pipes, get a power drink to the strong-van, find a new tent for the fleas, etc. There are quite a few locations and objects, so it would be a good idea for you to help your child for a while. Eventually they will probably want to play on their own. The characters are lovable and there is a lot of humor here. We run it on a Mac and have had no problems at all -- very stable and easy to install.

This is one of the best titles in a great series.

4-0 out of 5 stars Why no positive reinforcement?
I'm a parent of 2 children, 5 and 2. Both find this, as well as all Humongous software, quite a bit of fun. My problem, as a parent, is that after working on clues and spending as much as an hour getting through the game, all the positive reinforcement goes to the onscreen character, (Freddi Fish/Putt-Putt) and the child is left empty. Why on earth doesn't Putt-Putt acknowledge the child as the reason the game was solved? Accolades are heaped on Putt-Putt, while my five year old looks on with an expression frustration hoping someone onscreen will talk with her. Great games from Humongous, but they need to work more directly with the children playing them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Putt-Putt is great
I got putt putt with a computer that i had bought as one of the disks included. My son was 2 at the time and loved playing this game with me looking for missing clues and helping to put them together. now at 3 yrs of age he plays all by himself with it and knows exactly where to go each time he starts over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Young Kids Age 4 to 7
Add this one to the list of great (young) kid's games produced by Humongous, including the Freddi Fish & Pajama Sam series. Although my grandson has outgrown these titles, my great nieces and nephews are now playing them. They are both entertaining and educational.

5-0 out of 5 stars A fun, fun game!
Both my 3 1/2 yr. old and my 6 yr. old girls play this game. They both truly enjoy this game. In fact, I have to get them some of the other Putt-Putt games, because they enjoy them so much! This is a delightful game that teaches problem solving and memorization in a very fun way. It is a great game for either boys or girls. I would recommend this and any other Putt-Putt games. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This is fabulous and fun!
I bought this program for my daughters after I read that it received an excellent review in the Children's Software Review magazine. I was expecting it to be good but it surpassed my expectations. The graphics are amazing and simply the best that I have ever seen on a children's software program. Playing the game is like watching a high-definition movie! The characters are sweet and lovable and the games are so creative. My girls actually fight over who gets to play it. This is a fresh, fun entertaining gem of children's software!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Wismo's Workshop is an excellent childrens game... The game teaches the children numbers, abc's, colors while still letting them have fun... It has match games, and also lets them create their own pictures. You can tell the people that created this game knows about children and dedicated their time and talent to prove it... Way to go guys! What are you waiting for, go get this game!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Kid's Game Title
I would tell you how happy I am with this product, but it would be easier just to tell you that both of my kids still play the little games in Wizmo's Workshop over and over even though they have probably played them a 1000 times! The world and art of the game are colorful and beautifully created, and the characters fit perfectly. A must have if you like to look for quality, fun games for your children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Our favorite computer game!
We received this game for our almost 3 year old son this Christmas. He adores it! The graphics are fabulous and the screen can scroll to the left and to the right, which increases the game's play area. There are about 5 games to be played, and my son is able to navigate throughout all of them without any help from me. After completing any game, you receive a "prize" which are all collected in another area of the game. There are a couple of reading and matching games which are a little old for him, so the game will grow with him. Even in the game's "home" area, you can go to different objects in the workshop which will animate when clicked upon. It is really cute, I even enjoy playing it with him!

5-0 out of 5 stars Engaging and entertaining
This is a wonderful program full of fantastic graphics and wonderful characters. The voices of the little dragons are wonderful. I would agree that the game is more suited to 3-4 year olds but my 6 year old loved showing his little brother how it was done. A very worth while purchase in a difficult market. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great problem solving!
My almost 5 and almost 3 year old girls love these games! We rented the Europeon Adventures from the library, and decided to try this out, since that game is included. What a bargain for so many games! If your kids like Madeline, they will enjoy this!

4-0 out of 5 stars Madeline software is delightful
My daughter has an earlier Madeline computer program, and it has been the best we've bought. Unlike Reader Rabbit, which I think can be frustrating for small children because it takes so long to "win" the game by collecting items, the Madeline program builds smaller, more easily attainable arenas for success. Plus, the program grows with the child. We bought ours when she was not quite three; at five years old, she can still enjoy it using the higher level activities. ... Read more
