Though it may not appeal to many adult gamers, Disney's Toy Story 2 Action Game is a solid arcade game. The title combines the style and humor of the movie with 3-D platform-game elements you would normally find in a video game. In fact, the exact same game is also available for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 game consoles, and its video-game roots are often clearly visible.

Players take control of Buzz Lightyear in his quest to rescue Woody from the evil clutches of Al, the toy collector. The game is played from a third-person perspective and is more like Super Mario 64 than Tomb Raider. Many of the 15 levels--most of which revolve around actual locations from the movie--are straightforward, but offer numerous bonus items and secret areas to explore. In order to make it through the entire game, Buzz has to perform many difficult jumps, climb trees, zap evil toys with his laser, and interact with all of his toy pals to get clues.

Much like the movie, the game's primary audience is kids (ages 8 and older); adults may tire of the arcade-style jumping and climbing action in short order. Still, for parents searching for a family-friendly computer game--and one that wonderfully re-creates the environments and characters of a great Disney movie--Toy Story 2 Action Game is a great bet. --Michael E. Ryan

3-0 out of 5 stars Disney Toy Story 2 -Pc version
The 3 D action is similar to other games of the same genre, e.g croc and croc2, except the play area is much larger. Better graphics than Mario 3D, by far. Bright color schemes are top notch. Play is initially difficult, but improves as one learns what is improtant and what is not.

Some small annoyances:

1) 3D rendering is not done as well as in other games: Edges appear in walls, and far obects are partially rendered until you get close to them

2) Non-standard controller movement for reverse. In the game the main character does not back up, but instead turns around when the down arrow is pressed, and then the viewpoint then rotates behind the player. Very annoying when one just wants to move back a slight bit. This is very non-standard as all other 3d games just have the character backup slightly when the reverse button is pressed.

3) The gamepad direction movement is coarse. Hard to line up the player for a specfic jump using the buttonpad or joystick. Luckily, there are additional keys on the gamepad to allow you to rotate slightly to the left or the right. I've switched to using these buttons for turning around rather than the reverse button as the change in perspective (see above) is annoying.

4) Documentation/menu selection is negligible. This is the worst part of the game. There is apparently no way to pull up a menu to charge computer game settings. It's also not clear how to save the game; many times the only way to exit the game was to reboot the computer. The documentation supplied with the game is useless in this regards; it says to press the `start' button' which does not do anything. A series of pop-up menus linked to the ESC key is definitely missing here, and is a fatal flaw in the program.

Overall the idea is good, the game is enjoyable, the play situation and puzzles are intersting and challenging, but not excessively difficult to make it impossible for younger players. The main problem with the game that not enough attention has been paid to the details of game management and the interface to the rest of Windows. Perhaps this was just automatically translated from the playstation by a computer program, where one doesn't really care if one just hits the system reset button to exit the game. This game type of programming is about 10 years behind the times, and really shouldn't be have to be tolerated by windows game users anymore.

4-0 out of 5 stars Programming for Playstation doesn't play well on PC
This is a great looking game with beautiful colors, graphics, and backgrounds. The levels are challenging and extensive. Our favorite Toy Story characters are all here (although Woody doesn't show up until near the end). The puzzles vary in difficulty from kindergarten to adult.

The problem with the PC version is it's extreme awkwardness to control. The controls operate relative to where the character is, not the angle the the player is watching from. With a constantly adjusting camera angle, this makes for difficult navigation. Another tricky thing is the 3-D rendering. Most objects aren't visable until you are right next to them, which made finding them difficult.

This game is suggested for ages 8 and up. Some of the puzzles are appropriate for this age group, but I can't imagine an 8-year old getting past some of the levels. Some of the "missions" are so difficult that even an adult has to try them over and over and over to finish them. (Perhaps this is a plus for adults, though?)

Although this game was hard to get used to in terms of maneuvering (one never does "get used" to it exactly), and it was obviously created for use on a game system, and not on PC, it was a great-looking game with plenty of challenge to keep even adults busy for days. The bonus movies are a treat, and the hilarious clips make you WISH the movie was out on DVD already.

5-0 out of 5 stars an ok game
toy story 2 is ok but it's kind of hard for me.
i'm still stuck on alleys and gulleys!

4-0 out of 5 stars Made for PlayStation, not PC
I saw one review here that said" buzz is extremly hard to control" and "I can't see an 8 year old getting past it." I agree! Buzz IS extremly hard to control, it's probably easier on a PlayStation, and I'm 13 and this game is even hard for ME! I usually get used to a new game in no time, but this was real hard.
Other than that, pleasant music, good graphics and fun levels. Get it if you like unbelivably hard games.
Oh, PS. I noticed most of you give it one star because"it keeps shutting down". IT'S NOT THE GAME! IT'S YOUR COMPUTER! You need to update it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Same as the N64 game
I bought this at a 'going out of business' sale at a local store. My kids were about to upgrade to Gamecube and this was one of the games they didn't want to lose, but would. I was pleasantly suprised that this is the exact same game! I was only hoping to kind of fill the gap, not completely! It is difficult to play on the computer without a gamepad controller though, not a big deal. ... Read more

Mojo Jojo's latest plan to take over Townsville is thoroughly fiendish. Using a chemical spray known as Mutato, he has transformed all the town's creatures--from icky bugs to cuddly kittens--into large and dangerous monsters. It's up to players to help the Powerpuff Girls defeat the mutant menace before it gets out of control.

In Powerpuff Girls: Mojo Jojo's Pet Project, girls get to play superhero by rescuing endangered animals. The core of this game is composed of arcade-style games: players rescue fish from Mutato pollution, save pet-store escapees as they fall from a tall building, and eventually fight Mojo Jojo himself. That's not the end of the fun, though. When a gigantic, laser-wielding squirrel breaks the villain out of prison, the young heroines must go head-to-head with one dangerous rodent.

As arcade games go, Mojo Jojo's Pet Project offers less variety than some players may like. Most of the activities are a simple matter of evading dangerous objects while rescuing the innocent animal victims of Mojo Jojo's perfidy. Later games bring combat into the mix, requiring the girls to punch out their antagonists, but the formula is the same. Bad things move toward your character, and it's up to you to get her out of the way. The lack of variation is the single fault to be found with this game, though. It runs smoothly, gets harder on schedule, and provides lots of humor and excitement for Powerpuff fans.

As a bonus, girls who are tired of the endless hunt-and-chase can find other sources of entertainment in this game. Mojo Jojo's Pet Project contains some minor, low-key activities such as a matching game and printer-based design projects, good choices for girls who like to move between fast-paced action and point-and-click mellowing out. Even so, the point of this game is to rescue Townsville, and girls who want to play should definitely be ready to unleash their special powers in the name of justice. --Alyx Dellamonica ... 5-0 out of 5 stars wee!
this was a very fun (but short) game and one of the better ppg games to date. the only gripes i have with it how it freezes at times and the animation was kinda.. eh. kids who are fans of the show will love it! and hey, maybe the adults will enjoy it too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved it, but...
This game is awesome! For the tykes and adult PpG fans as well. Exellent graphics, and very fast gameplay. Unfortunately, on my system, the Direct X movies tend to "chug" a bit.

Other than that, I highly recomend it! A 5 Plus!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars powerpuffs computer game
My little girl just loves this game, she is 4 yrs old and can play it herself with out any adult help. She really enjoys the game alot!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game - poor documentation
According to the packaging and the supplier web site, this product is designed primarily with Windows 95 /98 in mind. As a Windows ME user, I was initially disappointed with this package. The main game / adventure worked fine but I couldn't access most of the extra features such as the comic maker, colouring, cut-outs, certificates and postcards. However, the e-mail support contact advised me that you need to complete the game section of the package before you are allowed access to these features. This isn't very clear from the documentation or the on screen displays. However, if you complete the game (which I had to do myself as my four year old daughter found the game quite challenging) you can indeed access these features. Overall, I would say the software works pretty well and would recommend it for powerpuff fans but the documentation could be improved to make it clear that you can't access all the features until you have completed all of the game and that younger children will find this difficult. My experience is that younger children actually prefer colouring-in type activities to the games themselves. ... Read more

This action game spawned from the movie Toy Story promises "40 hours of gaming so wild, it's out of this world!" in its promotional material. Forty hours is far too long to spend with a game like this.

Playersassume the identity of the gangly cowboy Woody, rescuing good toys and fighting bad ones in a world that's as flat as an Etch A Sketch drawing. On the plus side, this game only takes up 8 MB of hard disk space, according to the box, which certainly explains that flat feeling. Tasks are assigned on each of the 17 levels by, yes, an Etch A Sketch, which redeems this game somewhat since kids must read directions, then memorize and carry out the orders. But expect frustration when Woody can't accomplish a simple room-cleaning assignment in the allotted time because a chair is in his way and he's designed to need 50 tries to hop onto and over it. Poor Woody doesn't have much of an arsenal, either--just his bullwhip and that dubious ability to hop over things.

This game can be playedin Windows or full-screen mode. Full screen is the recommended setting, but we found that mode chunky looking, and opted instead for a sized-down Windows screen. Gamers who want complexity, three-dimensional detail, and that "gee whiz" factor won't find it in this game. But fans of Toy Story will find Buzz, the Green Army Men, Rex, and the rest of the gang. Just don't expect them to move as fluidly as they do in the movie. (Ages 6 and older) --Anne Erickson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not very good...
The Toy Story movies are two of my favorite movies. But the game however, is not too good. The graphics are awful, they are very flat. The graphics in the Toy Story Activity Center are WAY better. The game play is ok, but there are some levels that are impossible to beat. Save your money and get the Toy Story 3 disc set on dvd.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too Frustrating for Kindergartner
FRUSTRATING! My kindergartner -- a reasonably bright 5 1/2 year old -- has been working on this game for several days. Yet he has been able to play only the first 2 of the 17 games. Each game must be successfully completed before one can access the others. In many, many tries, he has only been able to complete the first game once. Being able to pursue the many promised adventures is but a distant dream, colored by too many tears. I do so wish this one had never entered our home!

1-0 out of 5 stars Toy Story Power Play
***Beware*** This product is not compatible for Windows XP, and according to Disney Interactive, there are no plans to assist with compatible files...Return if you can, or in my case, use it as a coaster because the store would not take it back once opened....

Needless to say, our 4 yr old was very disappointed, and didn't quite understand why our computer was "too new" for his game...

1-0 out of 5 stars Good Movie, Bad Game
You can't play the game in Windows full-screen mode,(I played it on a new Windows 98) The graphics look like 1973 (if thay had games back in 1973)

Buy The Tarzan Action Game Not This One

This CD-ROM may end up being your child's best friend as he or she usespuppy power to devour bones, rescue fellow pups, and ultimately defeat the womandogs love to hate, Cruella De Vil. Cruella is about to go bankrupt because hernew line of toys has failed miserably: kids would rather play with their petsthan Cruella's creations. So she reprograms her toys, transforming them fromheaps of shiny junk into robot pet-nappers.

Kids can assume the identity of Domino, a boy pup, or Oddball, a spot-free girlDalmatian puppy, and set out to rescue fellow puppies. The puppies are stashedin crates in 16 locations that are increasingly difficult to navigate: whenpups--er, kids--collect enough bones, rescue enough puppies, and stay away fromCruella's minions successfully, they move up a level of play and on to adifferent location. A toy store, the inside of Big Ben, and Piccadilly Circusare just a few of the places that must be thoroughly sniffed around beforecompleting the game's big goal: a battle with Cruella herself.

Other critters bearing clues, buried treasures, slick surfaces, and additionalopportunities to solve problems make Puppies to the Rescue a realtail-wagger. There are mini-games hidden within some levels that can be accessedseparately, a sticker book that kids can piece together as they collect stickerson their puppy quest, and animated sequences that reward problem-solving andmove the plot forward. The cute-as-heck puppy actions will please parents whoprefer no violence; kids can make the pups run, jump, sniff, dig, and tumble, but the most destructive weapon these pups have is their toy-destroying bark.

This CD-ROM is Windows only, and movement through the program is by keyboard orgame pad; thankfully, the keying is more intuitive than some of Disney's otherrecent offerings. And unlike some movie tie-ins, this spot-on game does justiceto Disney's beloved Dalmatian franchise. (Ages 8 and older) --AnneErickson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 6 year old and I play this together
This game is fun, fun, fun. I bought it for my six year old a few days ago, and we've put hours into it already. On the PC, it takes a moderate amount of coordination to bounce and jump, but we have cleared all 100 bones out two levels so far and have enjoyed every minute.

I bought this game in a Disney Dalmation 3-pak, and wasn't expecting much. But this is the only game we've played out of the three, so the other two are just gravy.

Highly recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game !!!
This is a wonderful game. I've got 3 kids aged 5,4 & 3. The cd contains the main game and some mini fun games.
In the main game, the levels open up as you go along. Controlling the puppy is not east at first though can be mastered with some practice - My 5 year old plays this a lot. It's too hard for the other two.
At the beginning only one minigame is available - The classic memory game !!!
Both my 4 and 5 year olds love it. More mini games become available as you advance in the main game.

My 3 year old is too young too play but she LOVES TOO WATCH.
Overall, I truely recommend this game which I've had the pleasure to play a bit myself after putting the kids to sleep...
You've got plenty of levels too complete so it should keep you busy for quite a while...
Great 3d graphics !!!

Thank you Disney interactive...

4-0 out of 5 stars Let's look at the age requirement.
O.K. This is not an unbelievable fantastic incredible game. It cannot be comnpared to other games because it is not those other games. It is creative and unique in its' own way.Not to mention fun. I enjoyed this. But, my 4 year old son grabbed hold of my mouse and LOVES to race with this. He is very good. Actually, almost better than me. This game has little learning curve and can run on low end computers. THIS IS NOT A STUNT GAME.It is not advertised as one.It is advertised as a racing game. And it is about an 85% in my book. Not perfect...but very well executed.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Far Cry From Stunt Track Driver
Following on the heels of Hot Wheels' Stunt
Track Driver program (1998), I figured this one
would have even more exciting stunts and
fun driving. I was very disappointed to find that
the graphics are much less detailed and display
in a very jerky way, even on the same PC.
The steering is also much harder to control.
Stunt Track Driver was challenging at first,
but was well worth the time once mastered.
Stick with that one if you are looking for
Hot Wheels fun on the PC. I also highly
recommend LEGO Racers 2 (2001). ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Disney's fault
Okay, so this game can be a littl hard, and sometimes a little annoying. But it is not Disney's fault if a game doesn't live up to the movie. For one thing, Disney doesn't even make the games themselves, They have a supporting company make them. I read a couple of reviews saying that 4-5 year olds have gotten frustrated with the game. Let me tell you something, If a child gets frustrated with something, don't just sit there and let them get frustrated. Help them out a bit, even if it may be hard for you too. I babysit a 5 year old that gets frustrated with this game, but she keeps trying, and doesn't give up. I understand not all kids are like this. They like to have fun when they're on the computer, and they don't want any challenges. If this is the case, then maybe they should stick with learning games, and not try to play action/adventure games until they get old enough to understand what they have to do in the game.
Anyway, I give this game a 3 rating. It is a decent challenge, but not recommended for kids under 5, unless they have an adult by thier side to help.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad
Save your money, this game is bad. Even my 5 year old said she didn't like it. Some parts were too hard, some parts were stupidly easy/boring. Mr. Bubbles voice over gets really really old. He talks so slow and deep and you gotta sit though it to figure out what to do next. Honestly, I would be embarassed if my name was on this box.

1-0 out of 5 stars Shame on you, Disney... This game is pathetic
This is probably the worst game my child has owned. It is less imaginative than I would expect for a $20 game from Disney. Gameplay is way to hard for a 4-5 year old. My 4 1/2 year old boy has enjoyed other disney games as well as the Reader Rabbit series, Tonka Games, and Starflyers games... but when playing this one he actually started crying and hit himself on the head in frustration. At that point I took the helm and realized that the game was very difficult to play. For example... in one game you need to feed coffee to Stitch in order to drive a car, but the coffee bottle is about 80 pixels wide and the target area to click is only about 5 pixels wide and is totally obscured by the bottle icon, making this very frustrating. The graphics are poor. The games are boring. There is nothing redeeming about this game. For shame, Disney... this game is a terrible thing to do to a child.

4-0 out of 5 stars cute, but it could be better...
"Lilo & Stitch Hawaiian Adventure" is a collection of games inspired by Disney's sweet animated movie. Although Disney recomends the game for kids ages 4-7, I think some well beyond maybe beyond age 20 will find this tricky. A game at the Luau, for example, took me several tries before I finally won it at the hard level. In it, players have to feed customers, give customers checks, keep Jumba & Pleakley away from Stitch, and keep Stitch calm. Take my word for it, it's not easy. Another game where players clean Lilo's house is frustrating even on the "easy" level. I still havn't won this one on the hard level. The best game is one where players help Stitch build alien buildings at a weird looking construction site. It plays like an arcade game, so it's pretty replay friendly. Also, the animation of Stitch in this game is REALLY cute.

One of my main problems with "Lilo & Stitch Hawaiian Adventure" is the game's finale. Inspired by the film's way cool space chase, players have to help Stitch rescue Lilo from Gantu. While the first part of this game is fun and tricky, the two levels that follow are too easy and slow. That's disapointing seeing how this was a great idea for an arcade game.

Another problem: I don't think Cobra Bubbles should be hosting most of the games here. Why does Lilo only host one of the games? Why don't Jumba and Pleakley host more of them? I mean, Cobra Bubbles probably isn't the favorite charactor from the film of too many kids, you know.

Yes, it's true Disney has made better games than this, but this isn't bad. It's pretty cute, there are some hard games, and the construction game rocks. ALOHA!

4-0 out of 5 stars Lilo & Stitch
Our 4 1/2 year old loves it but it has some difficult parts even in the easy. I still cann't pass the "clean the room" part even on the easy level. She gets fustrated at times but it also keeps her entertained. The diner is challenging and although she always looses along the way she is very entertained. I like it because some games are hard and others are good for her now so I think she will grow with it. With 7 games it is easy to switch from game to game by clicking a shell so you don't have to stay at one game until you pass. My husband likes playing the hard parts and sometimes won't give it back to her (smile!). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Starter Game for Little Guys
My son is turning five this month and he loves this game. He loves Hot Wheels, so this was the game to have for him. At 2 and half I didn't think he was ready to play this game. However one day I sat down and started playing it just to see what it was like. My hand got slapped and he took over. He has been playing it up until just resent when the cd was scratched real bad. ...

4-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, but...
This game could not be more fun for the whole family. It can be played by the very young with a sense of accomplishment, but can also be challenging for those looking for more. You can earn new cars, choose cars based on performance etc.. The one gripe that I have with this game is that the program appears to have some glitches,as every computer, both new and old, that I play it on seems to freeze or have synch problems. For the price it is likely worth the try, the fun will probably outweigh the minor frustration.

5-0 out of 5 stars Driving Backwards Was Never More Fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Lion King 2 Simba's pride game
I loved the movie lion king 2 simba's pride, so why should the game be different? It makes children laugh, sing and dance just like apes, for a very low price. It makes your children so happy, they begin to roar, and grown at you.I hear them sing (to the toon of a little bit of this a little bit of that) A little bit of apes, throw in some monkeys too! A little bit of that, it's all up to you! They wear red undies , It is funny too! And on and on with more detail about the ape and how they are animals in the great big circle of life. I love to sing the songs now! It's the circle of life! and it moves us all! through faith and love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't it make you sing just so mentally ill you do it some more?
Have a happy Day! And one more thing haucounamatata! (clap to the beat! It's my solo!) It means no worrys for the rest of your days! Its our problem free felosafeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! haucounamatata yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! GOOD NIGHT AND HAPPY WALT DISNEY WORLD!

5-0 out of 5 stars Get Ready For A Safari Full Of Fun!!!
I absolutely loved the movie so when some money came up, this was #1 on my list. This is really a CD-ROM you should own. Disney's Active Play: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride is a fun, educational, and entertaining game. As you begin, you will hear a really great song. Then, afterwards, there is sign-in. After you sign-in, you will meet Rafiki at the tree of life. He needs your help to play, create, and sing with the lions, elephants, monkeys, hippos, giraffes, and create your own pictures. First, there's Pride And Seek. Kovu and Kiara need your help finding all of the lion cubs. For level one, you need to find all of the cubs, but for levels two and three, you need to match up cubs and mommies by the way they roar. Believe me, this can get a little tricky. Then, there's the Elephant Line-Up. All of the elephants are in a real muddle because they are missing some of their line. Look for patterns in their sizes, tusks, ears, and hair. Level one is just the front or back part of the line missing, and for levels two and three, there are gaps in the line. This is not really the best in the game. Next, we come to Jungle Jam. Here, you need to make all kinds of different music with things that you feed the giraffes with. You can even record yourself singing along if you have a microphone attached to your computer!!! This is really just a music-making activity, so it does not have levels. You tell those giraffes that I say, "great music." Get on your swim-suits because you may get wet in Hippo Hijinks!! Here, you need to help the hungry hippo to get to the beach and get some lunch. To do that, move around the other hippos until you can clear a path. For level one there are hippos and rocks, and for levels two and three there are logs, too. This is the best game here!! Finally, we come to Monkey See, Monkey Do. Here, you need to make the monkeys play, just as they did for you. They will do something, then you have to make them play the exact same way. This can get tough. For level one they will show you what to do, and for levels two and three the monkeys coach will show you and then you have to click on the monkeys that do those things. Throughout all of those games you will have to do other things, too. You need to create your own animal. With each animal, you need to choose certain parts & colors, everything to make it just how you like it. You also need to sing along in all of the animal songs, too. They are so cute!! And, back at Rafiki's tree, you need to create your own pictures. All of the animals that you created will be in a certain sticker-box as well. After you have done all of the activities, then you can go to Pride Rock. Simba and Nala will give you a little quiz about all of the animals you visited, and then they will welcome you to the pride with a special sing-along. This game is loads of fun, and you will absolutely love it. Well that's it. I hope that this review has helped you and encourages you to get this CD-ROM. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Educational, fun, but a little boring
The Bug's Life game is good and appropriate for younger kids. Flik has to find 6 pieces in order to create a contraption with which to get rid of the grass hoppers. In order to get each of the six objects, Flik and you kid have to complete a task--sort through berries, arrange pictures in order etc. In addition as the kid plays, she/she can learn about bugs, by clicking on a little camera button.

In addition to entertainment, the game also provides tyhe kid with some basic computer skills, which are (surprise) necessary today.

My only problem with the game is that it is quite repretitive. After a few times, my son got bored.

Everyone's favorite temperamental, unintelligible duck is back, and he's betterthan ever in this cool, platform-style adventure game. Donald must rescue his beloved Daisy, the intrepid girl reporter, from Merlock, the dastardly magician. Typical of platform games, certain tasks must be completed to prevent Daisy from meeting a tragic end: components of awarp pad must be gathered, the boss must be defeated, and a handful of weathervanes need tobe installed before Daisy will be safe under Donald's wing. Bonus rounds prolong the funonce the main goal has been accomplished, with enough additional rewards and challenges togenerate several extra hours of enjoyment.

Controls are simple to operate, and kids as young as 8 won't have much trouble getting Donaldto attack, jump, and run. The graphics are truly outstanding, with rich color and depth. Onoccasion, the game pauses to load new screens or save previous ones, shown by a color-changingbar across the bottom; while waiting it out can require a bit of patience, it's also a nice timeto shake out your cramped fingers! Ending and saving games is easy as well; the escape key is theonly button needed, and menu options are labeled intuitively. The intro to the game is a shortanimated cartoon that provides the storyline, and while it can be skipped by tapping the spacebar, true Donald lovers are sure to enjoy repeat viewings. The world's crankiest duck is definitelyat his best here. (Ages 8 and up) --Jill Lightner ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Donald Duck Going' Quackers
Going Quackers is an amazingly 3-D game. This game is similiar to Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. The difficulty level is challenging but not too hard. A nice affect to the game is that sometimes you look at Donald from the side view and sometimes in back of him. It's fun to have Donald jump and bounce his way through twenty levels. Not only does Goin' Quackers improve hand-eye coordination it has strategy involved. You have to look for items that might help you through parts of different levels. Donald Duck is very well animated and realistic. However, the game sometimes crashes therefore barely reaching a five-star review. If you're thinking about buying this game, I recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Donald is quaky
I really like this game, especially cuz I am a huge Donald Duck fan. I am not that into video games but I love playing this game. It's not that hard but it is challengins, especially when you have no clue how to get to the next level, you have to die many times before figuring out how to win. I like the graphics and the music. The beginning of the game shows Daisy giving a live news report while entering evil Merlock's castle. Then Merlock found her and captured her so Donald decides he is going to go save her. He has many obstacles to face on his voyage to find Daisy (ghosts, castles, electricity, etc). It is a fun game, especially for young kids and Donald Duck fans. I recommend it to anyone who likes games like Mario Brothers. ... Read more

Now you can give Angelica her comeuppance, help SpongeBob be a winner,or simply see how CatDog manages to drive a racecar. Nicktoons Racingwill thrill cartoon fans and gamers alike as it spices up a racing program withtwists and turns that are pure Nickelodeon.

Only in this program will you find tracks with giant fingers growing out of pinkdirt, power-ups that include the Powdered Toast Man Crouton Launcher (yes, itenables you to launch huge croutons at your opponents), and prizes such as awheel of cheese. Players can get behind the wheel with and race against 12Nickelodeon characters, including Tommy from the Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, orHelga from Hey Arnold. There's also a mystery rider in a black car; to uncoverhis or her (or its!) identity, racers must win on all 12 tracks.

This Windows-only program has three difficulty levels, a feature that allowsnot-so-great racers to progress towards discovering who or what the mysteryrider is. Five game modes include an option for two players to race head tohead, a relay option, and a couple of practice options that won't damage trophystandings. Players must win first place on the easier tracks before they canaccess the more difficult ones. And if players don't have a game pad orjoystick, they must race using the arrow keys.

Everything from talcum powder to gritty kitty litter comes into play as racersmaneuver their cartoon characters around the bends of these twisted tracks. Ourone complaint is that we only get to see the backs of our favorite Nickcharacters as they speed through their surreal world. (Ages 6 and up) --AnneErickson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I can't stop playing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game is soooooooooooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!! I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's cool how they have a mystery rider in it. I figured out who it is!!!!! I think everyone should buy this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wacky, Fun, entertaining, but hard to get working
I tried 3 different computers and it finally worked.
The first 2 computers had Windows 98 and older video cards.

The machine it works on has an NVidea GForce2 and Windows XP.
The problem is with the either not having very recent video
drivers or not having a compatable video card. The set up
notes give no help.

I don't see an option to use a steering wheel, but it may
work. We used the keyboard.

You can race alone, with 5 other characters or against
another person sitting at the same computer. In 2 player
mode you can race against 4 other characters.

After picking a character, you race around one of 12 different
tracks fashioned after one of the Nicktoon shows, picking up surprises and jumping on fast launch pads.

The surprises let you launch an attack or defense. None
are violent. One lets you drop green goo on the ground
so when someone else passes over it, they get stuck.

The driving is easy so you can concentrate on the fun part of the game, that is avoiding surprises and nailing others with your surprises.

1-0 out of 5 stars no back up support
we bought this 6 months ago and it still doesn't work. there is an 800 number on the package that is out of date. when you finally get to the correct support you don't actually get a person. you are only prompted to do things, to most non computer geeks like myself this program is useless. don't bother buying it. your kids will say "how come you can't get it going". You'll put it away and try again later. Again with no success. Skip this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nicktoons Racing
"Go Spongebob! Go Spongebob!" Spongebob races down the track and passes Angelica while collecting some power-boosts. Finally, he races past the finish line and wins the crusty crab award. You're computer screen flashes out the words SPONGEBOB 1ST PLACE 2 MINUTES 6 SECONDS. The game Nicktoons Racing allows you to race as your favorite character from Nickelodian on fun-filled tracks. The 3-D gaphics are fabulous and it includes a multi-player mode. The music is great and the voices sound like the ones on the different shows. If you like Nickelodian, this is the game for you.

Congo drums beat out a feverish tattoo, someone just kidnapped Gary the snail, and your cursor is a spatula. Welcome to the world of SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Krabby Patty, an underwater realm that manages to combine retro hawaiiana and watery weirdness into five games that vary slightly depending on whether you cause SpongeBob to get up on the right or the wrong side of his bed.

The five games are all basic "cruise around and get things or shoot things" activities, with that surreal SpongeBob touch. For example, you'll find yourself seeking hooks baited with chunks of cheese in "Who Cut the Cheese?" and assembling Krabby Patty sandwiches in "Invasion of the Patty Snatchers." Rounding up jellyfish is the aim of "Hide N' Go Jellyfishing," learning to navigate a little speedboat through a maze is the object of "Boating School 101," and "Save Me Money" involves firing a bubble cannon at ghost pirates to defend a pile of loot. One game must be mastered to move on to the next, and completion of each reveals a long cartoon sequence that advances one of the two plots.

In the "wrong side of the bed" scenario, the evil Plankton has captured SpongeBob's pet snail Gary, and our square-panted hero must accomplish random tasks (complete the games in a certain order) to rescue his mollusk friend. In the "right side of the bed" scenario, a robotic Mr. Krabs (invented by, yes, Plankton) has stolen the secret Krabby Patty recipe, and it's up to SpongeBob to foil the plot by playing the above-mentioned games, with different characters, in a different order. Basically, this is a device to pack in more animated sequences without developing a whole new set of games. Players eventually end up building a couple of short episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants that they can view from the main menu.

The games aren't challenging, but they have a certain wacky tropical charm, thanks entirely to the fact that they're set in the wet underworld this cartoon inhabits. Fans will find Patrick the starfish, Squidward, the Chum Bucket Restaurant--every invertebrate, tiki hut, and odd exclamation ("Oh, tartar sauce!!") that makes Bikini Bottom such an oddly memorable place. No age rating given; we recommend ages 8 and older. --Anne Erickson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Spell BORING!
I played this at my friends house and she is 8 years old. She loves it and said it was the best game! So she begs me to play it. First of all there isn't really a challenge put to this game. Its really just a bunch of mini games that have no meaning to it. Although I didn't give it 1 star because There are 2 "mini" games that I adore! The boating school one and the who cut the cheese. But the rest are BORING! There really isn't a selection of "mini" games to choose from. It could just be that my friend was a hog and woulden't give her guest a turn. But from what I saw and the little I played it was boring. I do have Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom on my Playstation 2 and that is what I call a fun game! Get Battle for Bikini Bottom its way cooler!

3-0 out of 5 stars IT'S FUN FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I play this game alot. It's pretty fun for children to play , but when you play it for a long time it starts to get kind of boreing. You start with not many mini games because in order to get more you have to get really high scores on the other mini games. I enjoy play operation krabby patty , but not so much that I could give it five or four stars. So I gave it three.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game for younger kids
If your kids (like mine) are getting to an age where they've outgrown all there Elmo and Teletubbies CD-Rom games, "Operation Krabby Patty" is a good step up.

There are 2 "sides" to this game (think A side, B side). Plankton is up to his old (and predictable) tricks again, trying to steal all the ingredients for a Krabby Patty. Your first mission is to use the "Robot Krabs" to retrieve patty items, avoiding jelly fish (they reduce your time allotment)and ants (-10 points). After you'v completed three levels, you move onto the next game. Each level must be completed before moving on to the next; help Spongebob pass his driving test to receive his boating license, catch jellyfish with Sandy and SB, ride the fishing lures to collect cheese with Patrick, and help Mr. Krabs by shooting would-be thieving pirates with bubbles in "Save Me Money!". Then, the "B" side offers the same games, it just switches aroung the characters playing it. With each level you complete, you can watch a little "movie"- that is, a 3 minute cartoon about Plankton's plot.

I've read other people's comments that this CD ruined their computer system, but ours was fine. The only complaint I have is that certain visuals that appeared for the first 5-6 games no longer show up now, which makes no sense. Also, if you have a joystick connected to your PC, remove it before playing OKP. When ours was plugged in, the spatula pointer kept floating to the top and was impossible to control. After we removed the joystick, it was fine. Fun game for younger kids, perhaps not challenging enough for teens.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ok game...not sure if it's worth it.
A friend let my siblings and I borrow this game. I was so excited because SpongeBob is one of my fave shows! I started playing it and it was kinda fun, but then it got pretty boring. The levels were kinda hard to beat, even though I did beat one so far, and it was kinda zzzzzzzz after a while. I wouldn't recommend it, although some kids 10 and under may enjoy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sponge cleans things up.
As cartoons become more perverted, (adult oriented) it's refreshing to see sponge bob, safe for kids and quite funny. I loved cartoons as a kid, but cartoons seem to have become the domain of tacky adult entertainment of late. Rarely a gem in the rough like sponge bob on t.v., or on the internet can be found, but they are losing to the corporate sex industry.
We can do better for kids, people, support the good things, please! ... Read more

Sinister aliens are homing in on Retroville, but Jimmy Neutron has bigger problems than a mere off-world invasion. The deadline for the science fair is approaching, and he hasn't yet completed his state-of-the-art teleportation device.

Based on the well-known Nickelodeon characters, Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius is a first-person role-playing game appropriate for children ages 7 and older. As Jimmy attempts to put together his teleport invention, he stumbles over other, completed projects. Each find allows players to build on Jimmy's abilities. The inventions, from the flying jetpack to the remote control for Jimmy's robot dog Goddard, come with a tutorial that outlines their applications. Finding and studying old inventions is only a means to an end, though. Players must help Jimmy complete a lengthy series of objectives that will eventually lead to the completion of the science fair project.

Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius is a definite winner. Its objectives are varied and easily satisfied, providing a story line that moves along briskly. Action sequences pop up at various points during play; in one, for example, Jimmy converts Goddard to a flying scooter and races a skateboard-riding classmate. Game objectives are posted in the corner of the screen to keep players on task, and the animations are big, bright, and appealing. There is no getting lost in Retroville.

That said, the game does have a few quirks. Navigating Jimmy when he is on foot is tiresome, and while the scooter moves more quickly and smoothly, it is far too easy to bump into objects that cause him to dismount. (Moving to a new area of the game map also resets Jimmy to walking mode.) Additionally, though most of the game instructions are verbal, there are some textual clues and cues, making the game less accessible to those new to reading.

Even so, Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius offers terrific entertainment: a pleasing story, good visuals, and a nice mix of challenges. With plenty of humor and adventure in the mix, this program is sure to please kids whether they are already Jimmy Neutron fans or are new to the boy genius and his world. 2-0 out of 5 stars Kids run out before the timer does
This isn't the most exciting game in my kids' collection but it's probably worth the ten bucks. The games are about as good as flash games you'd find at Nick Jr. or PBSKids online: kind of fun but very repetitive. In fact, before we finished any of the 5 games, my kids were asking to move on to the next one.

Silly Songs with Robots is probably the best activity, although not really a game. It only has a handful of songs, though, so you're probably better off buying an audio CD.

The egg timer feature (lets parents set a time limit) is something I'd like to see in other games for children, but to tell the truth my kids were done before the 20 minutes were up.

I was amused by the game's attempts to console parents who might be concerned that one of the activities involves ramming a car into other players (one character says something like, "There are lots of ways to have fun without hurting anyone!") and another is a shooting game (again, something like "These are rubber darts so no one will get hurt!")

2-0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
I was disappointed. I had hoped this game would mean some of our son's computer time would teach him about the Bible and religion, but there's nothing really eduational or religion-oriented about this. It's just games, one of which is bumper cars (try to bump others) and one is target shooting, two activities that seem a little contrary to the morals I wanted encouraged. Also, the game is pretty short. It also requires a much better system than the minimum recommended - we have to play it on my computer instead of my son's. Still, it's fun to play and my son loves it.

3-0 out of 5 stars last groove
I play this game with my 4 year old. She has a tough time moving the characters and the graphics are very disappointing for a Disney game. The manual has minimal instructions and no hints where to look for the extra goodies.

3-0 out of 5 stars A little hard to navigate....
My son really likes the movie and the game, but it does frustrate him (and me, when he needs me to help). I find it a little difficult to move Kuzco (the llama) around in the game. However, its is a fun game, and once you learn how to navigate the character, its a lot more enjoyable.

4-0 out of 5 stars Despite problems "Emporer's" is still Groovy
First off, this game is worth it's price! It allows for several hours of amusement (several days for less experienced gamer I'm told) for relatively little cash. The story line is engaging, the commentry is fresh and amusing, and the game play style is varied enough to keep from being boring. There are, however, a few problems. While the backgrounds, animals, and enemies are very well designed the 3-D people are HORRIBLE! The bodies are sharply angled and box like and the faces are rounded without any 3-D detail. This, however, is just an asthetic issue and shouldn't deter buyers. Another problem, however, may deter those gamers who are really into their sound. Be prepared for sound skips during scene changes as well as random repetitions of the same phrase when moving Kuzco (the llama) at high speeds. The only other issue is the camera angle. At times the camera defaults to a view that makes precise jumping rather difficult. While frustrating at the moment this does add a measure of skill to the game. In enjoyability this game rates five stars but the technical issues listed above drop it's total score down to four stars.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good

My kids actually talk about the children in these games like they are friends. They play them all the time. I was looking for Backyard Baseball and just stumbled upon this three pack for about the same price. What a deal! Now my kids have learned so much about sports through these games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mom's Opinion
My seven year old son has all of these games as well as Backyard Basketball, he has spent hours and hours playing all of them. I think Football and Baseball are his favorites. We are getting him Backyard Hockey for Christmas. It is a lot of fun as well as teaches a lot about the actual games. He has become a sports expert and I think it has to do with these games.

I would recommend this to any parent who has a child who enjoys sports!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Clean Kid Fun
My mom bought Backyard Baseball for me. (...).
It was so much fun, even when I am by myself. The kids talk and act like kids do. I had my mom buy me Backyard Soccer- which is also good.

These games are Fantastic for little kids. Big kids think it's fun too!

All 3 sports in this game.(there use o be 1 missing,now 2 )
Backyard Basketball is missin'.But now there is a Backyard Hockey.Bacyard Hockey is the hardest one to find but it is not in this game either. It only has Backyard Soccer,Backyard Baseball and Backyard Football. The newest one is Backyard Hockey. My favorite one is Backyard Baseball featuring Mike Piazza

1-0 out of 5 stars nickelodeon party blast, horrible game
this game was bought for my niece and son.installed the game and it constantly shuts off.screen flickers, you can't use the keyboard correctly and then it just shuts off.they say it won't work with intel chipsets, well i have a via chipset and amd i guess they're wrong there.i'm using an ati radeon 9700 pro card, amd athlon 2200+ so there is plenty of power.tried the latest via and ati drivers with no help at all.don't waste your money and thank god i only wasted 9.99 at target.i also tried to totally clean the registry of all traces and it doesn't help.even a fresh install of xp didn't there you have last thing, there are no patches to download and support is like talking to a brick wall, except the wall might be more helpfull cause you can at least smash the cd off it.

1-0 out of 5 stars NEW USER
I also could not get the game to run. It would start and then give an error. Tried installing a couple times and still would not work. Looking at the other reviews, guess this is a common problem. It appears I have the minimum system requirements, but still doesn't work. I would not have purchased if I had known the problems.

This game installs then plays the intro then the screen goes blank! When I emailed them they said it does not run on an Intel chipset. I thought almost everyone had an intel chipset.

5-0 out of 5 stars nick party blast (info)
nick party blast is a cool game, i have it. get letters that spell out goooze and a strong pump blaster of gooze will apear so don'tjust stand when u got it press A and blast. food fights are classic for nick. u knew there would be a food fight. pick up food, aim, press A and win if u can. get a gold star and activate a machine. ther is a machine only in 2 levels. pipes might be hard. get make the pipes connect to the piont at where you'll get pionts. make sure nobody steals your pipes. roll a ball is my best subject. i can get over 10000 pionts and i can send goddard to the moon and out of the galixy and remember press B to protect the ball. i'll tell u about 1 more thing then u have to get the game yourselfe. water gun shooting is fun. don't hold A down or your water will go down fast. u should press A rapidly. i don't know y it was 3 star. ...
