The game starts out with a reasonably good 3D model of Harry being rescued in a flying car by his friends. They fly back to Ron's house, where their mom promptly scolds them for their hijinks. They're sent out into the yard where Harry (i.e. you, the player) start to learn how to use your controls. You're shown how to use your want, how to gather up beans. You move along to degnoming the property, which is great fun! You have to knock over the gnome and then whirl and fling him as far as possible. You get Wizard cards, chocolate frogs, you play Quidditch, and try to earn house points. There's some button-pressing games which are quite fun, but there are also a lot of puzzles for you to reason through. While the game is one player, other people get involved in trying to figure out the riddles and offer advice. Even when the puzzles are figured out and the game is won, it's still a great deal of fun to go back and play again, to try to get an even better score. This is sure to be a hit with any Potter fans, and is great for all ages of gamer.

To make it work you simply... - Give each other you're IP addresses. Onto the actual game, one boosts the total number of cards to 771 (it add's 350) - Providing you own the first two games (Yugi The Destiny and Kaib the revenge). This has a LOT more options than prevous PoC titles, forbidden card lists, power over the cards joey has access too (his own or all of them) and Joeys skill level increases the more you duel him - you can also redo the WON CARDS screen to get a new card, so you never have to duel for hours to get those elusive cards again. The AI is some of the best yet, he uses Quick-Play magic cards, acts a lot more 'human' than previous titles (and even GBA titles). Highley Recommended to any Yu-Gi-Oh fan that wants to take the fight online. This is the best POC game out, and probably the best dueling experience available on all the platforms. GBA titles move over - Yugioh is coming to the net!
Otherwise, great game. Joey is definitely harder to beat than Yugi or Kaiba, even if you have all the previous cards in hand.
Overall, I would give it a 4/5 for internet playability, 700+ cards, okay promos. The only bad thing is that you only go against Joey, which isn't very bad, since he changes his deck when you do.
by the way... this one is vary funny to play.

Amazon.com Review JumpStart Spanish is easy to install, and it installs Apple QuickTime for the animation features of the program. As JumpStart Spanish can also be used for learning English, learners choose the language they want to learn and the language in which they want their lessons conducted. Once finished, JumpStart Spanish starts itself and students are introduced to the spunky animated rabbit who serves as guide through the lessons. The main page of this program is a "clubhouse" that includes doorways into the fun, colorful, and musical lessons contained in the program. Kids can click on different rooms in a dollhouse, for example, and then learn the words for all the articles inside. Children can also click on the television and watch different conversational videotapes that teach them how to say "What time is it?" and other useful phrases. JumpStart Spanish will teach this vocabulary and these phrases in both English and Spanish, helping children recognize words they already know and what they sound like in this new language. Children can learn at their own pace and, when ready, increase the difficulty level of the lessons. JumpStart Spanish uses music, friendly cartoon characters, and familiar items and situations to relate to small children and teach them a new language. Moreover, if you're not happy with JumpStart Spanish, Knowledge Adventure offers a 90-day 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. So, if you're looking to turn your child on to foreign language and make it fun and alive, JumpStart Spanish is an excellent choice. --Kendra Hayden Reviews (27)

He wanted me to hurry up with my shopping, so he could get home and start playing the CD. I helped him install the game, and we sat back to enjoy our favorite animated character. The first thing I noticed was that Sam's voice sounded different. Also, his mouth did not match with the dialogue. It looked like a Japanese karate movie that had been redubbed with English words. How could the producers have missed that? Secondly, the ESC keep did not work to help you zoom through the scenes on your way around the map to find the missing objects. (It does on the first three versions. Call me spoiled? But why do away with a great feature? Sam does a lot of running around). So, we waited as he walked from this path to that path...waited...waited and waited.... Thirdly, the game lags! I thought my new computer (purchased this year, mind you) was messing up. How could it lag? This is not a multiplayer game on the internet for crying out loud. It's as if the professional people turned this product over for elementary school children to produce. It's that far down quality wise from the first three. I'm disappointed and disgusted. I wish I had read the earlier Amazon reviews, but I TRUSTED the quality of Humongous Entertainment and didn't dream of reading the feedback. I learned my lesson. No more buying of any software without listening to those who've already been suckered or thrilled. Listen--if you want to buy quality fun games for your kids, go with Pajama Sam 1-3. Leave number 4 in the store. Believe me, it's Rough When You Lose Your Money. Thanks. PS. I did like one thing, the sock song. That's it...:( ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description The island is a complex and colorful world of sights and sounds. It is home to over 30 characters, most of whom have lived there all their lives. Even though the other Saddle Club members won't be with you, you can still keep in touch and tell them all about Willowbrook Stables and your adventures. Other horse-crazy kids on the island will help you in your quest to save the stables. The skills that Lisa, Carole, and Stevie learned at Pine Hollow will come in handy in your investigations, as horses are just as important on Coventry Island as they are in Willow Creek. Ride all over in search of golden horseshoe clues and collect important information from interesting characters. You can get additional clues and track your progress in your personal game diary. If you solve all the clues, you'll uncover secrets that have remained hidden on Coventry Island for decades. You will have to be careful, though, as others are trying to solve the mystery, too--people who will stop at nothing to do so. If someone beats you, Willowbrook Stables will be lost forever. I think the game is great. I thoght it was anoying that you alway had to groom and feed your horse. But you don't alwas HAVE to clean the stall i beat the game without hardly cleaning the stall. I think it was rather anoying that it took so long to load. And when you made the graphics look better, the horse move choppy. A fun little bug is that when you push the left Alt. button and the 0 on the number pad you can go backwards through any solid object. Even water! I would give this game 1000000 stars if I could but I can't. So if you love horses and the saddle club, spend the money and buy this game. (You'll eventually beat it!) ... Read more

Amazon.com Review In the game, Nancy's job is to investigate death threats coming to Rick Arlen, a hunky TV soap star. The plot is straightforward enough, and here's what the software really does well: ambiance. The first-person perspective puts you in the center of the crime scenes, and the inventive game design lets you pick up objects for investigation and keep notes on things you've found. Occasionally, you come across another person, and it can often be surprising. In the style of Choose Your Own Adventure books, you're given various questions to ask, and what you choose alters the outcome of what you learn. The people seem a little stiff in conversation (and, to be honest, in the graphics), but in a strange way, it helps increase the creepiness factor--an uptight verbal response makes sense, considering they're being interviewed about a serious crime. There's a real rush that comes from finding key elements and extracting just the right piece of information from an unwitting witness. Nancy Drew, first created as a female version of the Hardy Boys in 1929, has weathered fashion and tastes well through the work of HerInteractive. For girls too old for "kids' stuff" but who still want a game that's all theirs, Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger can help fulfill a teen or preteen's need for adventure. --Jennifer Buckendorff Reviews (473)
nancy drew is visiting a friend of her aunts, mattie jensen, in new york, and in the beggining it seems calm and peaceful, yet a bit creepy at times, but exiting as you meet the stars and see how a tv studio looks! but soon, fun turns to terrible danger! a lot of exiting stuff happens, and if you thought this game would be easy, well, you've got that wrong! all and all, a great game for anyone over eight(though i got one when i was like six or seven)! A+++++++

Amazon.com Review The most unique aspect of this playset is the strap-on kitchen. Once the white counter with pink and green appliances is installed over the keyboard, rookie cooks can crack eggs, whir the blender, and roll dough to initiate action onscreen. There's nothing to plug in here; it's all mechanical. You can't use your keyboard for anything but "cooking" while the kitchen is in place, but setup and takedown is only a matter of seconds. If you don't want a plastic kitchen sitting on your expensive keyboard, it's possible to "cook" using the mouse, but that method isn't nearly as fun. Kitchen in place and disc installed, chefs visit the recipe box, and with help from a baking pal, whip up everything from banana bread to layer cakes. A game area includes a baking contest and a hide-and-seek that pits players against demonically giggling gingerbread men. This virtual kitchen is at its best when the cook strays from the recipe. Overcook a cake and smoke curls up from the onscreen door, then your baking pal reassures you as a charred lump emerges from the oven. In one kitchen, anything goes; keep tipping the egg into the bowl and eventually a dinosaur egg goes in, then one with a purple yolk, then in goes Humpty Dumpty. Extra points go to the designers for creating a diverse cast of baking buddies. Boys who feel like baking might prefer to roll dough with Billy Batter instead of Sally Sprinkles. Still prefer the textures and smells of real baking? Your kids can print recipes for what they've made onscreen. The 12 recipes range from decadent brownies to more Spartan fare, such as soft pretzels. Once they've practiced in the virtual kitchen, they can mess up your real kitchen cooking real goodies. --Anne Erickson

If you've never heard of catz or dogz (or any of the series), then you must know now! These games are about taking care of cats or dogs, raising them, feeding them, training them, and breeding them--basically it's like taking care of an animal around the house (except you don't have to scoop any litter or take any walks). =P It's the perfect gift for girls aged 8-13, or people who are cat/dog fanatics. The scenes (places for catz to play in) in this game are pretty much similar to the ones in Catz 4, except now they have a Salon (umm...I think it wasn't in Catz 4 but I haven't played on Catz 4 for years), fantasy castle, AsianTemple, and a Haunted mansion. Yes, you can still design your own scenes for your catz to play in, and you now get to design your carrying case (w/ a paint program) for your catz! The scenes in this game are: To get items in this game for your Catz to play with, you must defeat little miniature games that are in scenes, such as tic-tac-toe (as silver-girl said, it takes about 3-10 times to mark an X in your area), rock paper scissors, Simon says, obstacle coarse, and scarab crunch. Almost all the items in this game are old ones from Catz 4. Thank goodness in this game you can hold unlimited items in your carrying case, unlike in older versions of games where you have to hold a maximum of 9. That's one of the reasons we're all glad for this game. A female cat in this game can have a litter of 1-4 kittenz. They are almost always mixed breeds, really if you have to different types of catz. There are 15 different breedz of catz in this game -- Alley Cat, B+W Shorthair, Calico, Chinchilla Persian, Desert Lynx, Egyptian Mau, Honey Bear, Japanese Bobtail, Maine Coon, Orange Shorthair, Persian, Russian Blue, Scottish Fold, Siamese, and Tabby. You can't cheat anymore with your computer calendar to speed up the birth of your cats' kittens. Usually it takes babies to be infants 2-3 days, and kittens in 7 days. Then it takes 3-4 days to become adults. They grow up so fast...*sniff* You still have the screensaver, in this game also. But what I HATE is that you need the CD in order to launch it (like the review that person wrote who only bought this for the screensaver). Don't bother buying this for the screensaver either; it's nothing really. It's just your catz playing with random items. Please do not buy this if you already have Catz 4 and you expect a lot out of this game. If you want the extra stuff, I say go for it. It's not much different than Catz 4--just more breedz, 4 more scenes, and mini-games which you play to earn new items. Well, that's my review.
UBI Soft's tech support has said that this "feature" extends to *all* of their PC titles. So fair warning, particularly to folks with laptops where DVD/CDRW drives came standard, ask before you buy. Perhaps if enough people have a problem with this flawed policy, UBI will smarten up. "Flawed" because limiting installs to drives without write capacity isn't going to slow a determined game cracker/pirate down, it's only going to prevent normal consumers from being able to install the game. Worse, they don't find out until they've opened the package and tried to install, which in some cases is enough to prevent a return and refund from the seller. I'm certain this game deserves more than 1 star, and suspect it will see some good reviews from people who are able to install, but I can't give it more than a single. That's a commentary on UBI Soft and their "feature", not about the game itself. ... Read more
