I was aware that the game was out for a while before I got it. The newest version, "Warp II", is already out, but it doesn't offer as many ships, so I decided on the older version. I am an on-line gamer, too, and a big Star Trek fan, but I bought this mostly for the "make your own starship" aspect and not the "gaming" aspect. As far as I am concerned, the starship creation part rocks and the gaming portion is a bonus way to see how your ship performs. If you buy, though, don't forget to get the patch on-line. This version of the game allows you to import a digital picture of anyone you want and create a character out of them to crew your ships. That is very cool, and the only thing I really would want out of the new "Warp II" version is the ability to edit those pictures so that your subject appears to be in a Starfleet uniform -- if it works well. Not enough to make me want to run out and get it, so in the meantime I will enjoy "Creator Deluxe" and wait for "Warp II" to go to the bargain bin. The only reason I did not give this game 5 stars is because I thought the producers could have put a little more into the graphics and animation. Maybe even a little more than "a little more", but all in all, I really liked it. ... Read more

Amazon.com The "Labtop" contains all of Sabrina's spells, and throughout the game, you can store new magical ingredients and spells for later use. Also, make sure to stock up on plenty of energy along the way or you could get sent back to Limbo in the linen closet! There's five different worlds to explore: Sabrina's house, the Spelleria, Amanda's Arena, Mars, and Sabrina's high school. If your own teenage (or preteen) witch enjoys the television show and has fun solving mysteries, this game should be right up her alley. It's not every day a girl gets to blast her enemies away merely by pointing a finger. With Sabrina at her side, we bet she'll find this problem-solving adventure game truly... spellbinding. --Jill Lightner Reviews (8)

Amazon.com Review Over 10 years have passed since Prince of Persia's debut, and computer game technology has improved exponentially. Red Orb Entertainment puts that technology to good use in the attractive Prince of Persia 3D, the third--and hopefully not last--title in the popular series. Players assume the role of the Prince of Persia, who's once again forced to fight through an increasingly difficult set of areas to track down the kidnapped Princess. During the adventure, you'll battle guards, bandits, and other evil henchman while utilizing a varied selection of melee and bow weaponry. Crafty level design ensures plenty of familiar lever, floor panel, and rope-swinging puzzles. (Watch out for those spike traps!) Maneuvering the Prince within the new 3-D environment is perhaps the only minor gripe; lining up jumps and navigating tunnels with the sometimes too-fast Prince can become a tricky endeavor. Boasting startling 3-D graphics, dazzling levels, and familiar, easy-to-learn gameplay, Prince of Persia 3D should both delight old fans and collect many new ones. --Doug Radcliffe Reviews (15)
If you loved Tomb Raider's gameplay, you'll probably love this game. If (like me), you thought it was awkward, you'll hate this game. Controlling the prince feels like parallel parking an 18-wheeler by remote control given only a randomly changing camera angle.
One of the great things about the first two games in this series was that the character's motion was much more natural and realistic than anything else on the market at that time. This game might be a drop below others of its time in the graphics and motion department but the graphics are still very good. To complain about the graphics is like complaining about a new Ford because there is a BMW available on the market. A Ford might not match a BMW but it's still a great car! I've noticed that some people have complained about controlling the prince. My advice, use the number pad on your keyboard and you shouldn't have a problem. With a little practice you should not have a problem. If the camera angle is in a bad place, use the Enter key on your number pad to get a good look around (see the game instructions). If the game seems slow or choppy, lower the resolution and gamma. Play this game in a dark room so you can keep the gamma pretty low. The gore level (or lack of) was something that disappointed me a bit. When a wall blade killed the prince in POP2 you would see blood on the blade and the wall. The only blood you see in this game is in some of the background scenery and it's not much. High gore just means that the head is actually separated from the body if the prince walks through a blade. In low gore the head stays attached. There is no blood at all. I don't really call that gore. I don't play games just to see gore though so that doesn't reduce my overall opinion of the game. One more note, there IS enough time in the last stage to finish. You just have to know how to use your weapons! By the time you get there you should have had enough practice for that. You cannot save in the middle of that level. If you don't make it you have to start that level over. I've done it more than once though so it has to be possible! In short, great game! Highly recommended!
Prince of Persia 3D is built on an ugly engine. The graphics are very bad graphics, charecter animation is very ugly, box-of-rocks enemy AI and many clipping problems. I dont mind if the graphics are bad if the gameplay is great and the gameplay here is great and fun, but the game runs very unsmooth, the framerates are bad. The load times are also very long, but thankfully the quick loading is almost instant as you will die a lot of times. Pop3D was a very fun game, I loved playing through all the levels and solving puzzles. I did not face any crashes or hangs too, I did face save game errors but the patch fixed it. The biggest and only problem with the game is the unsmooth built engine. Alas! if only the created a better engine or used an established quake3 or unreal engine.

With 2000 different questions, and several game play options, you'll no doubt be playing this game for a long time. To be sure, the low selling price makes this game an excellent value for money. Having said that, there are problems. First, as another reviewer has pointed out, it DOES crash a lot if you do anything less than a full install--an operation that takes half a gigabyte of hard disk space. And, unlike other software titles where a full install puts a lot of rarely-used cinematics on your hard drive, you pretty much need everything in the full install to play the game. There is, therefore, a noticeable slowdown during normal play if you haven't done a full-install. So even if Hasbro comes out with patches that'll fix the crash problem, you're still stuck needing a pretty big chunk of free hard disk space to play the game at its best. People with limited hard disk space might therefore find themselves in a frustrating position. Second, Macintosh users are completely left out of the fun. Though the game appears to use technology easily enough converted to Macintosh use, there's not currently a version catering to that market. Third, if you're a fan of computer trivia games, there's a sense of "too little too late" about this product. While it arguably has the most trivia questions of any major trivia brand, its use of multimedia technology isn't terribly innovative. It's all been done before, and better, by You Don't Know Jack and its many brand name cousins. Ultimately, then, your potential enjoyment of this game depends largely on whether you're looking for a good trivia game or looking for Trivial Pursuit. If you love Trivial Pursuit (and have a lot of hard drive space) you'll be surprised at how much more playable this CD is than the board game. But if you love trivia in general--and want a game that's totally different from any other trivia game you know--you'll probably be happier with the You Don't Know Jack series.

Amazon.com Review From the start, Robinson Crusoe is a gripping game, brilliantly narratedby Martin Jarvis. It opens with stirring dramatic music as Crusoe talks of hisdesire to travel the oceans of the world despite the strong opposition of hisfather. Unfortunately, lightning strikes his ship, and from the moment you seeCrusoe arrive alone on the beach, you have to take on his role. Stranded aloneon the Island of Despair, you must keep your spirits up and carry out varioustasks to prevent yourself from starving or becoming the victim of a savage wildanimal. Your first task is to get on board the shipwreck. Using your mouse button, youhave to collect all the pieces you need to build a raft, which will thenhopefully take you and the remaining food and water ashore. The scenes are veryatmospheric and well illustrated, and you even need to wait for a low tidebefore you head for the wreck. This game comes with clear instructions on how to navigate through theadventure. By clicking on a book icon, you can find tools or objects to makelife on the island easier. When you hold down the mouse button, you can enjoypanoramic views of the island as if you were actually standing there. And, likeCrusoe, you have to constantly beware of the cannibals. --Justin Hunt Reviews (2)
We're not quitters, so we read the same "book" in the story and wandered around the ship trying to pick up objects, but there is no place to keep an inventory and no way to "grab" the objects. This game is not like Harry Potter or even Nancy Drew, where you can go different places or follow a path. Its based on a 2D drawing that doesn't "do" anything! It is frustrating, useless and not entertaining. Save your money, even if it's only $!

Creatures 2 has a lot of fun things with it, especially if you get the Deluxe version with Lifekit #1. Even a helicopter ! Watching the look on the Norns' faces when flying around in the helicopter is hilarious ! You can even click on 'view' to see what they are thinking about or seeing. It's fun to think that they are actually 'looking' at something -- sometimes it's offscreen and until you click on 'view' you wouldn't even have known they were eyeing a carrot or toy in the distance. Hard to explain but this game is really unique. A lot of people online are obsessed by this game, and invent new things for it and everything. Net search on Norns to see what I mean ! There is even a Creatures newsgroup. Anyway Creatures 2 is even more fun than Creatures One. I didn't like Creatures 3 as much, for various reasons. But if you liked Creatures (One), you'll love this one also ! There are lots of additions and improvements. Night falls, weather and seasons change, norns can even drown; but there are safeguards against that (i.e. PUFFER FISH rescue !). Their facial expressions are priceless. And when a new little baby 'nornlet' hatches -- all I can say is, awww ! (The norns have life stages even, such as infant, youth, adult, and 'pensioner' and their gait, and appearance, change accordingly). Well, now, I'll let you search online and check it out for yourself ! Have fun !

Amazon.com Review The five games are all basic "cruise around and get things or shoot things" activities, with that surreal SpongeBob touch. For example, you'll find yourself seeking hooks baited with chunks of cheese in "Who Cut the Cheese?" and assembling Krabby Patty sandwiches in "Invasion of the Patty Snatchers." Rounding up jellyfish is the aim of "Hide N' Go Jellyfishing," learning to navigate a little speedboat through a maze is the object of "Boating School 101," and "Save Me Money" involves firing a bubble cannon at ghost pirates to defend a pile of loot. One game must be mastered to move on to the next, and completion of each reveals a long cartoon sequence that advances one of the two plots. In the "wrong side of the bed" scenario, the evil Plankton has captured SpongeBob's pet snail Gary, and our square-panted hero must accomplish random tasks (complete the games in a certain order) to rescue his mollusk friend. In the "right side of the bed" scenario, a robotic Mr. Krabs (invented by, yes, Plankton) has stolen the secret Krabby Patty recipe, and it's up to SpongeBob to foil the plot by playing the above-mentioned games, with different characters, in a different order. Basically, this is a device to pack in more animated sequences without developing a whole new set of games. Players eventually end up building a couple of short episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants that they can view from the main menu. The games aren't challenging, but they have a certain wacky tropical charm, thanks entirely to the fact that they're set in the wet underworld this cartoon inhabits. Fans will find Patrick the starfish, Squidward, the Chum Bucket Restaurant--every invertebrate, tiki hut, and odd exclamation ("Oh, tartar sauce!!") that makes Bikini Bottom such an oddly memorable place. No age rating given; we recommend ages 8 and older. --Anne Erickson Reviews (18)
There are 2 "sides" to this game (think A side, B side). Plankton is up to his old (and predictable) tricks again, trying to steal all the ingredients for a Krabby Patty. Your first mission is to use the "Robot Krabs" to retrieve patty items, avoiding jelly fish (they reduce your time allotment)and ants (-10 points). After you'v completed three levels, you move onto the next game. Each level must be completed before moving on to the next; help Spongebob pass his driving test to receive his boating license, catch jellyfish with Sandy and SB, ride the fishing lures to collect cheese with Patrick, and help Mr. Krabs by shooting would-be thieving pirates with bubbles in "Save Me Money!". Then, the "B" side offers the same games, it just switches aroung the characters playing it. With each level you complete, you can watch a little "movie"- that is, a 3 minute cartoon about Plankton's plot. I've read other people's comments that this CD ruined their computer system, but ours was fine. The only complaint I have is that certain visuals that appeared for the first 5-6 games no longer show up now, which makes no sense. Also, if you have a joystick connected to your PC, remove it before playing OKP. When ours was plugged in, the spatula pointer kept floating to the top and was impossible to control. After we removed the joystick, it was fine. Fun game for younger kids, perhaps not challenging enough for teens.

There are 3 other variations also, besides the two I've mentioned. I've tried them all, and each one is unique. Way beyond the "Boggle in a Box" that you've known for years! This CD also allows you to play against other players remotely, by modem or network, though I have not tried that yet. My biggest complaint about this game is the frequency with which it crashes. Now, that is an exercise in frustration! That being said, I would still buy it again though. I've had many hours of fun with it! ... Read more
