Good Program, BAD INSTALLATION by flawed design.
~A) Software does not self-install -- no matter what you do(any kind of prayer beads don't even help!!!...I tried them all...)
~B) Customer service's automatic system gets back to you with info sooner than a warm body one does.
~C) I figured out the solution all by my lil ole self, and I am not even paid to do it!!!!!

Even my hubby who is technical support customer service guru, didn't get it figured out. But in defense of all those desktop jockeys -- they have so much information to remember that the basics are soon forgotten. ~~~So, here's a toast for all the softaware customer people in the trenches of day-to-day frustration, feeling unappreciated, and kicked like the dog. **Cheers!! Simply put, use your computer to install it by -->

1.)Control Panel, select "Add/Remove Software" then,
2.)Select the "Add New Software", and finally
3.)The computer will do the rest and even come running back, wagging its tail, to that same installation screen to load all of the rest of the CDs for you too - what a dear thing it can be -- except when you are PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT over it!!!!

Excellent Training Opportunity!
My experience with "Professor Teaches.." was benefical and hassle-free. I was and am (I am still working my way through the tutorials) quite satisfied with the self-paced process of learning not only the basics of Microsoft Office components, but also aspects of their functioning I had little or no knowledge of. One CD is devoted to each component aspect of Microsoft Office. You can stop and start the session at will and when you begin agian you are at the point you just left off.

The information is presented in a straight fowrard, easy-to-comprehend manner. The interactive nature of this product allows the student to perform tasks associated with each topic.
I took the opportunity to take detailed notes as I went through each exercise, givng me a quick reference quick to use once I completed each lesson- so far I have completed the Microsoft Word and Outlook modules and am one-third of the way through the Excel module.

The only draw-back I experienced this product is that it worked best when installed as a program rather than used as a CD.

Also I think the edition I purchased had a lot of stuff I didn't really need like Office ME and 2000. Now I need to get the set with Frontpage and the other Web design programs.

Great Training
There's a ton of good Final Cut Pro info in these tapes. Even I learned a thing or two (Seasoned Producer).

Extremely smart & easy to follow
I've been an editor for 10 years, but I steared clear of trying out Final Cut Pro until I was turned down for my 3rd job in a row (because it required using FCP). It's becoming more of a standard than Avid, I would argue - and if you've tried it out, you know that it's not the easiest program to learn. Anyway this DVD was exactly what I needed. The early lessons review everything you need to know about the system - and the later lessons really focus on the professional features. And you don't have to lose a whole weekend in a stupid overpriced workshop b/c the training DVD is well-paced and covers everything essential to editing in just 4 hours.

Very cool project files let you work alongside the instructor. And Zak (the teacher) gives you insights into the craft of editing as well --which is way beyond what most software training covers. I love this program and the whole series, and would highly recommend it to others.

Awesome training!
This training has been unbelievably helpful!! Final Cut is a pretty complex piece of software, and as an aspiring videographer I was having a lot of problems with getting around the interface and understanding what I actually needed to know in order to get my video produced. After just a few days with this training, my struggle seems to be finally over!. The instructor Zak does a great job of explaining complex issues and breaking the different steps of editing and output down into digestible pieces. Also, the commercial you create in the training is fun and keeps you from getting bored...I was able to stick with the dvd from start to finsh and not get sick of it half way though......I am now on my third documentary created in FCP -- this time with no help! more to come!

Best Final Cut Pro Training Available
This training got me up and running in ONE DAY. I have been struggling to learn Final Cut, and had even taken a class at a local digital media training center here in New York. I had tried a few other self-paced courses as well, both online and CD based. My problem was that I am not the most technical person, and all the other trainings seemed to focus on every single button and option in the software - it was overwhelming. A friend suggested this company, Magnet Media, and said they were really good at teaching you to actually complete a project, rather than trying to teach you every detail about the software you were trying to learn.

So at this point I was skeptical about the whole thing, but this training changed everything. They include video files and the (professional editor) trainer shows you how to take the files and create a cool commercial out of them. You have the choice to create a simple, straightforward commercial, or a more advanced one using different techniques. The whole thing took less than a day, and I was able to go back and forth to the specific lessons I wanted to learn or was having a hard time with.

That night, I was already applying what I'd learned to the footage I've had sitting here for over a year - now my project is finished!! This training gave me exactly what I needed to FINISH PROJECTS and to be confident that I know what I'm doing. There were some more advanced lessons on the DVD too, and one day soon I'll learn those as well, but for now, I got what I've been looking for. Outstanding!!
One word, INCREDIBLE!! Everything from the upbeat music, overview in the beginning, inviting teaching, and video clips in between points are great.

Payroll Made E-Z's name is misleading. The user must go to alternative sources for definitions of acromyms appearing in the application. The help files are inadequate and no tutorials exist. A "desktop" menu would be helpful, as would the ability to delete data files within the application. The application seems to have a mind of its own, as when it adds Earned Income Credit (EIC) data when none was entered/is required. Employee pay data appear on the individual timecards but fail to show up on the summary report. It may be payroll software, but it is not E-Z. ... Read more
