Hate it, Hate it, HATE IT!!!
This is by far the worst calendar program EVER! I absolutely abhor it. It is not at all user friendly. It randomly prints boxes where you didn't create them. The functionality to move calendar entries from one month to another doesn't exist...you have delete the entry and completely recreate. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it because my boss likes the way it looks...too bad he doesn't have to struggle with it!

Broderbund Ignores Customers
The Calendar Creator product is useless for all but the very lucky. The software appears to be impossible to install without customer support and there IS NO customer support. It has proven to be impossible getting any help at all from Broderbund either on-line or by phone. We have been trying for two months and have spent almost as much in long distance charges (all of it on hold) as we spent on the product. Steer Clear!

Frustrating
In order to use this software it seems one would need to have a degree in graphic information technology and I'm not sure even that person would be able to use it. Great Product -- With the help of MasterMine
Ok -- GoldMine can do ALOT of things that ACT! was just never made to do -- like manage an entire SALES FORCE! It's the Cadillac of CRMs, on *almost* every level. What could be better? The GoldMine Caddy is missing the gas guage, but this can easily be solved for with MasterMine. Let's face it -- what good is CRM and all the activity in the world if you can't analyze the numbers and see what it working? Do yourself a favor and get the dynamic duo together. You'll love your CRM!

Not recommended for very small businesses!
Goldmine is great software that looks good on paper and has a lot of built-in functionality. However, after years of using it, I am not sure I made the right choice. It is the most finicky, untested, un-user friendly software I have used. It has caused me and my employees numerous headaches with constant crashes and some data loss. Forget about customer support! You are stuck with high priced third party providers. Forget about bug-free upgrades, Goldmine has released a number of major upgrades with non-functioning elements. Small-businesses without IT departments beware.

This software is extremely powerful. It does EVERYTHING a complex marketing operation would need.

BUT... that power comes at a price... and that price is being a cumbersome system to use until you have gone WAY down the learning curve with it. For MOST people trying to do their job with computer software that is easy to use, easy to learn to use (read simple and productive) you should look elsewhere.

I have used Goldmine to maintain my hundreds of relationships for professional and personal purposes. I partially attribute my success to using Goldmine. I have changed jobs 5 times in a large company managing sales in a channel, relationships within my company, overseas customers, complex project tracking and growing personal relationships. Great to have everything in one place
I read another review on this product with a low rating and am wondering if they had a previous version. This product is very easy to use. We got it in the Ultimate Employer bundle. We use it to track our employee information (name, SS#, I9, hm address, ...), benefits, positions/salaries, time worked, vacation time, etc. It is very easy for anyone to jump on the system and find the information they want, or enter additional information. We have been very satisfied. Although the 50 standard reports meet our needs, we have looked at using the export feature to Microsoft Access to create a report for our payroll service.

Syncs with Handheld
The absolute best feature of this software is the ability to sync with your handheld. The ability to call-up any password or account info in my handheld when I'm travelling is the exact feature I was looking for, but yet have all the info also stored on my computer at home. The reason I only gave four stars is the lack of a search function in the application - you have to scroll through all your entries to find the one you want.

Not enough features!
Just checked the demo version - this program does nothing but saving passwords. It lacks most functions that are typical for similar programs:
- There no possibility to drag the passwords to login pages.
- No Search, no Sort
- No file handling, Passwords are saved in a fixed folder.
- Only one dimensional category list, no hierarchical structure.
- No Password Generator
- ...
There is a lot of freeware and shareware that has more features. (e.g. Bagusoft Password Safe, Password Tresor, ...)

Still some problems with the product
Basically it has the same functionality as the desktop product, but there are several limitations when the software was scaled down for the PDA. It doesn't work with e-mail programs and it is not possible to take some data to the clipboard without entering into the edit mode. You can not dial a number from a Tungsten T linked to a bluetooth enabled telephone. It seems that Interact were in a hurry to start selling a product for the Palm platform. I hope they release new versions of this product in the near future.

ACT!
I love this product for contact management. I am a Realtor and have tried several other systems designed for Real Estate. Now that I am becoming more "computer literate" I find that I can make adaptations to this program to customize it for my business. I have just purchased a Palm M515 and am considering purchasing ACT! for the palm to further increase my efficiency. My life prior to this has been phone numbers and notes on little pieces of paper never to be found when I need them. Having the program on the palm increases the chance that these notes will be "at hand" when I need them, and I can upload them to the PC version each night. BUY IT!!
Easy to use and does it all.For the average home user this software rules.Its flexible and works how you want it to work. For $20.00 there's no going wrong here.

It's not quite everything!
It's not quite everything.
Basically, it is a very simple version of the ubiquitous MS Outlook. There is another version, "Anytime", by the same company for...no comparison of features is available though. I discovered this when I pointed out to Tech Support that although one is supposed to add a birthday to a contact in the address book, many of my contacts are families with birthdays on different days. 'Quick and Easy'(Q&E) can't cope with this, but apparently 'Anytime' can (though I haven't seen it)
One or two other things you should know. Q&E can't collate double sided two-to-a-page printing. Importing data is not at all simple, as it has fussy requirements that aren't mentioned in the instruction manual - for example dates have to be in the form "August 12, 2003" and times "10:32 p" which is pretty bizarre (it can't manage importing "12/08/03" or "22:32")
Other little niggles - you can't have a title "Dr. and Mrs." or anything other than the list offered, and you can't resize the screen font for hi-res screens.
It took me 20 minutes to get through to technical support (on a transatlantic call!!)
We then also discovered that in certain print layouts untimed appointments don't print and some get attributed to the wrong days. Tech Support have reported the bugs to the developers
Hang on till the next version!

One of the greatest pieces of software I've ever owned!
I purchased & installed Organize Quick & Easy 4 on both my home and office computers quite some time ago, and I think it is one of the greatest pieces of software I've ever owned! I use it consistently at both places, and particularly at my office, without the To Do list side of the calendar, I would be lost!It's great for following up on things I need to remember to do, as well as reminding me of things to do on a recurring basis. I have no need to keep paper lists, a desk calendar or a Rolodex any longer.

I've tried 'em all -- Wizards, Palm Pilots, Time Design, Dayrunner, Daytimer, Franklin Covey, and my own designs (a real disaster, that was!). THIS is what I've been looking for all these years. This operates pretty simply, but for the price I would have expected more features. The OCR is fair with only 10-15% of the cards populating the fields all correctly.
Major drawbacks are that cards with black color in them split into two cards.
No crop or straighten tool (the program claims to auto-straighten but does not work well)I fixed this by using an Avery (7600) clear 3 ring binder card holder page to keep the cards straight while scanning. This has helped a lot. ... Read more

It worked for us
We are using Customer Manager, to build out customer database. We all submit customer contacts names, titles, phone numbers, and e-mail address. We have not experienced any of the bugs the other have mentioned. One thing is Intuit provides automatic update to the software in the same fashion as it does for Quickbooks. Meaning, as corrections are made you get them uploaded.

I periodically take my copy of the database file, and update our Quickbooks file.

Like Quickbooks only 5 users can share one database "file". But Unlike Quicbooks, the database file called the "depot.file" is a community file which each user syncs and updates to in order to get the other community memember additions; one at a time.

You can also use Customer Manager to set-up To-do's and set assignments and for other users. It track of open and closed jobs, set deadlines, provide alerts etc.

You can customize the data your keep by adding fields to track customer by.

You can also group what you are managing, just not customers. You can group by customer, vendor, supplier, employee, etc.

For the price it worth exploring.

Just awful...
The feature which allows one to sync between different running versions of Customer Manager is cumbersome and full of bugs. The software uses a 'sync depot' to share information. Each copy of Customer Manager shares any changes it made with the 'sync depot.' Each other version then receives any changes from the sync depot and sends its own changes back to the sync depot. Each sync must be initated manually, and it is a bit slow. Customer contact information often get corrupted via this sync depot, usually resulting in Customer Manager crashing. According to Intuit Customer Service, they are still working out the bugs in the sync system, and a new release won't be out until next year.

Customer Manager also allows you to keep track of 'projects.' However, it would be nice if these projects were imported from Quickbooks' Jobs list. Instead, one is left with double the work of typing project information.

There are many other quirks with this particular software, but they are too many to list here.

The idea behind this software has a lot of potential (i.e. sharing information with Quicbooks). However, it seems more like a beta release, and the programmers at Intuit have a lot more work ahead of them. I would steer clear of this one for now.

Skip It
This product has great potential but nothing more.

It's basic to say the least and while the project management and notes-keeping capabilities are useful if you don't want something at the other end of the scale like Act! or Maximizer, it's probably going to serve your needs if you're running an even moderately busy business.

I bought Customer Manager because I found everything else I tried (see above) to be overkill and frankly cumbersome. Customer Manager seemed to be (from the product information on Intuit's site) exactly what I was looking for, a lightweight contacts database with the awesome bonus of synchronising with Quickbooks.

The reality is that the database leaves much to be desired as far as organising contacts and my version of Quickbooks Pro 2003 does NOT synchronise with it because it's the Canadian version. Intuit's Web Site still does not specify that only the US versions of Quickbooks are compatible and I have never even had the courtesy of a reply from Intuit about it, despite three very polite requests for an update.

LOL ...it doesn't do anything!
I have used ACT! and Qbooks for years. I needed an upgrade to ACT! but received very poor reviews for ACT! 6.0. Intuit always gives a quality product so I bought This Customer Manager.

The advertising makes it sound so powerful but I cannot find much to do with it. It is like Intuit sold a shell they were developing to recapture development costs.

Its kind of funny in a sick sort of way .. but I can't find much functionality in this product at all. It really doesn't do anything except list your customers and... nothing!

The product is available with a coupon for $20 off from Office Depot, but they don't see since it says discontinued. Could that be because it is filled with problems that need to be worked out including that it didn't work past 12/31/20043??? Sounds like the old y2k problems except it isn't 2000 anymore! ... Finally PlanPlus gets is right...
I was one of the unfortunate ones to purchase FC PlanPlus v 1.x. Being an IT (Information Technology) person by trade, I was dumbfounded how a time and task management company could have put out such as lousy product with v 1.x. FC did not have the staff or plan to support it and I ended up sending it back for a refund.... Fortunately V 2.0 has addressed every one of the problems I reported and it looks like they have finally gotten it right... At least for the versions of the OS and Outlook I am using... I am running XP pro with Outlook 2003 hooked to Exchange server. The install went without a hitch for both the PC and my Pocket PC. The FC Plan Plus home page is a must. I finally have all the screens I use on one page. No more having to open a note to document my phone calls, then having to jump to calendar to enter a meeting request, or go to Mail to look at my e-mail etc. I can stay at the home page and do it all!!!. I can also print my pages with just about any layout I can think of (saving me from having to buy daily pages every year). On the printout I have all my notes, tasks, appointments, etc. I encourage all of you seriously thinking about buying this product to download the 30 day eval and give it a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. NOTE: The eval is 90 meg (has to load .net framework) so be patient. I would have given it a 5 star if ALL the added features of PlanPlus would have transfered to the Pocket PC... As it is now the Mission Statments, Goals, and Compass do not transfer: only the Daily Record and Prioritized tasks go over (along with the standard mail, calandar, etc from Outlook...) All in all I think this is a great product and hightly recommend it for the serious planner...

Do NOT Buy FranklinCovey PlanPlus
I have never written a review of a software product before. I felt compelled to write one about FranklinCovey's PlanPlus For Microsoft Outlook 2.0 because I hope to that it will dissuade people from wasting money on this product.

Until I bought this product, I had no beef with the company FranklinCovey. I have been using their paper planner for the last 6 years. I had hoped that PlanPlus would simplify my life by allowing me to use planning tools while in Outlook. In reality, I have had nothing but trouble with the nearly impossible installation, the buggy product, and the infuriating tech support.

It started when I tried to install the product on my laptop. I worked with their tech support online (they charge if you want to actually speak with someone). I went through quite a few tech support people, many of whom seemed to repeat the same mantra of "uninstall/reinstall" which I did countless times. I really had to push them to get them to help me. When they were stumped and they said they would research the issue and get back to me and of course they never did. Eventually I got someone online and I would not let them go until we resolved the installation problem. After 5 days of working at this, it was finally installed. To my horror, it slowed down outlook so significantly that I decided to uninstall it.

Around the same time I was dealing with problems with the install on my laptop, I was trying to also install this on my desktop PC. I worked with tech support for about 3 weeks off and on. Again, they were stumped. They kept repeating the phrase, "We will get back to you at the earliest." I never heard back from them. Now I wonder what they meant. Was it the earliest ice age? The earliest millenium? They kind of left it open for interpretation. It's been several months now and I have wasted so much time on this. I was never able to install the product, I kept getting an error message and the installation would stop.

I can't return the product because they don't accept returns on software if it has been opened. All I can do at this point is vow never to buy another FranklinCovey product again and encourage others to reconsider their plans to purchase this product. If you are a diehard Franklin Planner user, like I was, I would recommend that you stick with the paper planner - it's far less buggy and you won't have to deal with an indifferent tech support that will "get back to you at the earliest."

Perhaps 2.0 is better
I wouldn't risk it based on the reviews here. The first version ruined my Exchange profile - now I can't have tasks in Outlook -EVER. FC Support is worthless. So ironic that a company that puts so much emphasis on integrity and excellence put out such an incredibly shoddy product. I'm sorry - I can't trust a company that would release such an incredibly bad product.

Slow, Crashes, but nice idea...
I'd wait to buy this until they come out with version five or so. By then, the bugs might be gone. As it is now, I'm using Outlook 2002 on a Windows XP 3ghz machine with 1gb of RAM, and it takes me 34 seconds to load Outlook (time for the splash screen to go away). Occasionally it will tell me it had to disable PlanPlus on startup as well. The memory usage (if you leave it open all the time like I do) is high as well, although I don't notice it much, having such a leet box (translation: fast computer).

I do give them 2 stars instead of 1 because it's pretty. I decided to use it based on screenshots alone. Outlook 2002 on its own is really dull, especially after you've looked at it daily for years. The extras (like the Compass, Mission/Values, and Goals) are very similar to their planner kits' first few pages. So if you liked those, I'm sure you'll enjoy the extras on PlanPlus.

Nice interface, but really slow
I am running PlanPlus on a 10 month old Gateway 450 laptop. XP is my operating system. Accordingly, I think my computer, while not brand new, ought to be able to accomodate the general office tasks I ask it to perform.

Plun Plus has a nice interface-- I like having all the outlook features in front of me and it's relatively easy to use the FranklinCovey tools. That said, it takes forever to load Outlook now and probably every third time I open an email box, I get 90 seconds of the hourglass. The irony is stark: this tool that promises increased productivity has become a barrier to that objective. I wish I had paid attention to the 30-day try-out period, because I would have sent it back. Overuses CPU
It's a great program with a lot of flexibility but it overtaxes the CPU. After loading the program, try CTRL-ALT-DEL. You'll find it's utilizing most of the CPU. It overheats the CPU if you have more than a program or two running. When I use the program, I have to load it, look up or do what I want and then close it or I get warning messages about the CPU overheating.

terrible technical support & false claims
Having used sequential versions of MyDeluxeMailList & Address Book over more than ten years, I continue to use it, but not without misgivings.
The bulk-mail presort feature is essential and few other affordable software options exist.
Despite excellent reviews, My Software fails to live up to many of their product claims.
I've installed version 6.000 on two computers, XP and Win98 platforms. The "Quick Zip+4 Lookup" Key Feature doesn't work.
On the packaging is a statement "If you have purchased this CD within the last 90 cays call for a free update" (to the address database USPS yearly update). The caller is given no option to request this update when calling that number. Nor is there any option available on the website for requesting this update, or even sending a message to technical support about it.
Test every function you need when you install this product and if those functions don't work, return the product immediately.
